As someone who's planning a Maui vacation at the end of the month I've gotta say. If I could get a package deal with a clean place to sleep, a good bike to ride, and some good conversation for a hundred(ish) a night I'd be in %100. Just renting a scooter is almost a hundred a day there, that'd be a stellar deal and I think you could definitely have a profitable business and a pretty quick ROI depending on how you want to handle it. If you were able to average 2 tribe members at a time for say 100 nights out of the year you'd be in the black inside of two years as long as you stay reasonable on the bike mods and your garage remodel isn't super crazy. Plus you'd get tons of group ride footage to make easy high view count videos and the channel would take on a neat interactive vibe.

Oddly enough, I haven't been recording much and when I shipped my desktop, ups managed to brick one of my hard drives... so I've lost like 1tb of data...Which was my main drive with all of my editing stuff... Photography looks awesome and I think your business plan is a great idea. Would also recommend investing in some sort of vehicle (like the razor) that can appeal to people that don't ride or maybe if a family comes out, the wife can drive the kids while the boys ride. Expanding your demographic/clientele.

I came out and stayed at Wailea a few summers back and rode up to the pine forrest with Mike, Ed, Kurt and PJ. It was a blast. Don’t think you could make it at the time. Wife and I plan to come back again soon and I definitely want to get some riding in again.

interesting vacation proposal for Moto riding. I've been to Maui 2x... first time for mountain biking and second time I rode Jordan's z125 all over the island for a day, but it would certainly be cool to explore more of the island including dirt, other than the 190 mile main loop I did around all the periphery roads. when are the best months to do this?

CalifroniaCrusin' It was in 2007 when I 1st went to Maui and brought my mountain bike with me. I did 3 rides during the week that I was there. I'm sure I could have done a lot more riding if I knew the area or connected with others in advance. I bet there is a lot of good riding there now. I hooked up with somebody from a bike shop on the West side and did a guided ride there that was pretty interesting. I also rode in a preserve on the NW side. Finally, the highlight ride was getting dropped off on the summit of Haleakala Volcano and riding the dirt trails on the west slopes through a rainforest (Poli poli) and eventually riding all the way to Paia by the ocean. I dropped 10k feet, but also climbed 2-3k feet in between on forested singletrack. Recently I gathered some pictures to make a video/slide show posted on KZbin with the few photos I had. Dude... I watched that old walk around in the months before I bought my five hunny. At the time I was "air building" my set up and knew I didn't want large folding mirrors like the double takes. I saw the HDB's on Athena and was like That's it! I love them! I've put 'em through heck, and even bent a handguard (and broke a mirror and a deflector...) Yeah, loved that walk around. Can't wait for the new walk around! And yes, you should do two; one down & dirty and another polished and cinematic. Thanks KP. Great to have you two back (you & Atheena...) on this channel.
