It's good to have great friends. You have great friends with the guys at RDS and Kodiak. This is what makes hot rodding fun. Patience is paramount and change is inevitable. You are getting the best advice and you are following it and that is what is making your channel worth listening to. Kudos to all of you. As for the Shorty build... same thing. It's going to be a show stopper. Looking forward to seeing it when it's ready. Truly enjoy watching this all come together. Here's something to talk with beard about... since you have the body off the frame. You plan to do some pulling with the WIFEMAX. What about additional support for the hitch ? Adding to it to strengthen the hitch and frame and transfer the energy to a better location in the frame ? To prevent frame twist from the torque of the pull. Again it's all part of the build process. Better to over build.. then break... Now might be a good time to fab some hidden brackets on the front. To hang weight on for pulling. I know in some forms of racing you need drive shaft hoops. To contain broken drive shafts. Take a look at the rules for the pulling you plan to do. These are things you can also do before the body goes back on the frame. Plus just falls in the build it right category.

Love the turbo. In a prior video, I noticed the stock flywheel on the block. I thought maybe you just haven’t gotten that far yet. You definitely want a billet flywheel if you’re going to be popping 1000 hp. The stock fly wheel is so flimsy in comparison. I don’t think it would last very long. Good video 👍

One thing I have learned Josh during all my projects I have ever built is that one change here , leads to 2-3 more changes there . As in “ your rig is only as strong as it’s weakest link “. Beef up a part here , and then the others will need beefing up down the line . A 1,000 hp engine with a 4-600 hp flexplate will be the Achilles heel , fix that and then the converter becomes the failure point , beef that up then the trans , and drive shaft & u-joints and then axle shafts and hubs & lug nuts / studs , I’ve even seen guys get EVERYTHING so beefed up and indestructible that the center gets ripped out of the rim ( racing slicks , screws through rim into sidewalls to keep rim from spinning in tire and Waaaaay too much traction on drag strip ) . May need to build a custom braced rear end with welded on gussets like the guys run out here on West coast in the Baja Trophy truck classes even to get all the power safely to the ground. Be careful what you wish for , as one expensive part usually leads to many more on down the line . Thanks for posting this one, and keep on chasing your dreams . One day hopefully you will have that truck all done & hopefully dialed in properly. Oh, one more thing , and please don’t hate on me here , but I’m just NOT that excited about making my truck sound like a jet taking off ……. I love my LB-7 with 4” exhaust with small resonator & 3-1/2” turbo air horn . It has just a bit of “ Whistle “ at wide open , but not enough to piss off all my neighbors. Plus as loud as that 9 blade was in this video I would hate to take it on my 2500 mile round trip visit from Cali to Texas to visit my daughter & grandsons like I can do comfortably in my truck as is . That’s it for now. C-ya 👍👍

If anyone knows about it fixed to this issue, I would appreciate it and if it needs to be rebuilt, what’s a good budget rebuild kit they can hold a level five tune because after I figure out the transmission.
