Friend had a 318 in an old Fury... burned so much oil he decided to junk it. He took bets on how long it would run with a brick on the gas pedal with no oil in it... took 18 hours to seize it... the heads were glowing red, exhaust was white hot and melted in spots... but it wouldn't quit running. When it finally quit 3 rods exited stage left thru the block! I won the bet at 17 hours! Nice $200 in my pocket.
