I bought a 67 narrow nose Pete, took her down to the frame rails, built her for pacific northwest logging. Industrial injection 800hp Cummins, 13 speed. Put a 90s hood and headlights, twin huge air cleaners, 8" stacks. Western logging air scales trailer, drop axle. She was a beast. Quicker then most cars, had to really be careful not to leave my drive tires on the hills with so much power.. I love the lord, my family, then logging and semis..

My first truck was a 76 IH 4300 with a cat and a 13spd, I've been around semis my whole life working for a IH truck dealer in my teens got my cdl at 16 I've helped local trucking companies and farmers hauling grain I've gotta say peterbilt is my favorite I drove for a buddy in the late 80s pulling a cattle pot that was the good days and at 61 I'd love to have another truck to show and shine.

That thing is pretty sick😊👍 The truck I used to own was a 1999/2000 Pete 379 extended hood, C-15 600 horse caterpillar, 18 speed eaton, ds404 rear ends, 3.55 gears. 53 ft utility 3000 reefer trailer. Solid red with black fenders. Had to sell it in order to start my own business after running between 25 and 28,000 Mi a month. Best truck ever, roomy sleeper. Used to run routine trips from the Pacific Northwest to Miami florida. The longest trips I ran were from Blaine Washington to Miami florida, the longest distance diagonally across the us as far as I know. Iran 38 out of 48 contiguous us states. I stayed out of California and the Northeast. Pushed snow with my front bumper in Indiana going through Amish towns when the freeways were closed after a blizzard, ran on Highway 30 across Wyoming when the freeways were closed also pushing snow with my front bumper. Had to get from Denver Colorado to Salt Lake City to pick up a load Bound for Boise Idaho. The truck never failed me and never broke, aside from routine maintenance it was relatively maintenance free I miss that truck, I wish I still had it, if I had to get another one it would be the exact same truck, pre emissions caterpillars where the bomb.

@@larryhager7109 I retired from OTR driving in 2004 after doing it for 3 and 1/2 years. Spent a lot of time away from home and decided the ridiculous DOT regulations and lack of Common Sense amongst dot officers was enough to discourage me from being an owner-operator ever again. I love the old Australian, NSW Mack trucks, brought up in a 1960s R600 Flintstone that my father drove and later on the newer R series Mack that my uncle drove when I was a kid. My late uncle was killed in his AEC before I was born. Also grew up with European trucks too, but didn't take to them. Kenworth's are a close top choice. My cousins in Australia (I'm in the UK with truck withdrawal symptoms) one drives the modern Mack trucks in the outback, and my other cousins escort truck loads across the state/country. I can almost tell which engine is a Mack engine, it's in my blood. Allan Black, Tywyn, Southern Snowdonia, Wales, UK.

I've always had a heart for Peterbilts. My grandfather was a truck driver in the late 60s till 1994 and my uncle was a truck driver until he passed away in 2022 . I was born around them and loved them like the people who drove them.. my favorites would be the Black dog Peterbilt in the movie Black dog or my uncles 2001 379 with a 63 unibilt sleeper 3406 CAT that I spent alot of road time in and got picked up from school in quite often.

Powered by two 8V92 Detroit Diesels linked together, with two superchargers and four turbos plus nitrous, this cart is good for 2,800hp and over 5,600 lb/ft of torque. Does filthy burnouts lol....

@thomasleonard9685 screw automatics and the tech, I had a truck with sensors that detect cars infront of you and applies brake to increase distance. Well it would slam on the brakes if a car cut you off on the highway. And autos take forever to stop compared to a standard shift. They're also super slow. Been driving for a year and half. Been in many different trucks from auto and standard. Will forever prefer a standard.
