Are the testers still on display, where you shop? Because I just bring a small container and take samples, to try at home. I've always done this, because I like to see, how foundation looks in natural daylight and if it can cope with my oily skin. I sometimes ask for permission, sometimes not, depending on the store/look of the staff, but in both cases, no one has ever minded. With lipstick, I usually put a smear on a piece of saran wrap, so I can hold it to my lips, later. I don't like to try these on directly on my lips, anyway.

I know the elf website has a shade match option where you select a brand and shade you know matches and it will match you with their foundation. I think other websites have this as well. 🙂

Try mixing them. I almost always have good luck mixing shades and brands!

@@raraavis7782 unfortunately you’re not allowed to touch any displays at Sephora , Ulta or Macy’s (unless each state regulates COVID restrictions). However at Sephora , in store , they will put a smear of the product on a clear plate and let you look (not touch) the sample.

This foundation looks best when you apply very little in my experience. Like only a half a pump, its pure pigment so less is more. You look gorg as always !

I love this on my 53 yr old dry skin for under masks at work. I prep my skin and hydrate and use elta md. I'm in the salon sometimes 10 hours and it's the only 1 that stays. The shade range though!! So confusing . I'm on the 3rd bottle trying to get a match. I may try your shade Angie, because we are similar skintones.

I haven’t tried the new version but the earlier version runs darker than other foundations. I’m usually a light medium 3 ish in other foundations and I wear CN 20 Fair? Try using the Sephora tool to find your shade.

At Ulta I bought it abs tried it on in the store. I went through 2 bottles to find my correct shades match since they do oxidize abd get darker but not orange

I have worn this Clinique foundation many times in the last few weeks. I like it on my normal with dry patches skin. However, the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better foundation looks much better on me. I prefer it. Speaking of which, I just heard on TV yesterday that It Cosmetics was bought by L'Oreal for a Billion dollars!!!!

Hi Angie, thanks so much for the review on Clinique's newest foundation. I have worn Clinique Superbalanced Makeup for years and it has been a holy grail foundation for me. It doesn't have any sunscreen in it, but that's ok because I put on a mineral sunscreen spf 50 under it. Siperbalanced Makeup isn't sticky and no settling in any lines. It's always nice to hear about new Makeup launches and you always do such a great job of testing products. Thanks again and have a nice weekend! Xo, Karen

I actually bought the foundation four days ago. I have enlarged pores so I use smashbox primer to reduce pores and it works well for me with this foundation. I really like it. I will apply it with my fingers and see how it looks. Thanks!

On a bright side, Angie, this is probably the foundation that photographs really well, also its considerably better-looking on your vlogging camera with lights that some other foundations you've rated higher (it looks too thick and emphasising texture on the natural light though). So worth keeping around for the photos and videos. :)

Angie, you look great only with tinted sunscreen. Since I started using Elta tinted sunscreen (thanks to you! 😀), I stopped using foundation. I just use a little bit of blush, bronzer and loose powder. My skin looks fresh and very natural this way.

You try it for several days, inside/outside tests,phone etc. I don’t like first impression reviews since I am not going to spend my money on a product that may not work. Just bought this at Sephora BEFORE seeing your video. I may return it now. The person at Sephora never asked about my skin type and at 72 my skin is more dry than oily. Now I don't know what foundation to buy. I have super sensitive skin to makeup. The only mascara I can wear is Clinique. I have never found an eye shadow that I can wear without my eyes burning. Now hunting for a different foundation. Thank you for this video and your opinions.

In my opinion, this foundation seems to emphasize texture pretty much from the start. You and I are the same age with very similar skin so I think I will keep using the 10 or so foundations that I have! 🤦🏼‍♀️. I do have to say that’s it’s so refreshing to see a KZbinr who doesn’t wear foundation that is 6 shades too dark!

Hi Angie - great to see you reviewing this foundation. I have normal to slightly dry skin, 53 yrs old. I dont normally go for med to full coverage foundations however giving this one a try. I really quite like it - stil warm in NZ - like you say wears well all day. It covers my pigmentation better than others I have tried and leaves a nice finish... Not a weekend choice for me but I like it for work. Thanks Angie.

I just bought the Clinique foundation yesterday. I have combo skin and live in the south.I think it will be amazing in hot humid weather for stay power and finish. Also, I used about 1/4 pump. A little goes a very long way.

Hi Angie! I discovered that the cap comes of really easily when u twist and then pop it off~ I then read somewher that it's designed that way so it doesn't come off easily when we travel with it.

I have been loving the ColorPop skin tint lately!! It is so hydrating and doesn’t feel or look like makeup. The coverage is light to med and just makes you look a little better than you do! If you haven’t tried it I would recommend it!

I was able to get a sample from Macy's and I do have dry skin but not overly dry. This foundation aged me and made my skin look more dry than it is. Of course I moisturized as per my usual routine. So Angie, I think you are spot on with the dryness. My favorite for me and my skin is Dior Serum Foundation--can think of name but it is my holy grail.

I agree with you on being on the dry side & showing texture. This foundation might be best for oily skinned men & women. Angie you look fantastic with or without foundation. I have wasted so much money trying to find a foundation I just use my sunscreen. I can’t believe the perfume in some makeups. I’ve been using Clinique even better (not the serum) for years when I do wear foundation. The only one that has a color that works. Sometimes you just want to see if there’s something better. Hi Angie. Okay, slight story, I received some samples from Ulta and a small tube of the lightest color of this foundation came with it as well. As I am creeping up on 57, I was looking for concealer and grabbed this, sans glasses, and it actually worked pretty darn well. While I won't buy an entire foundation to do this, the little tube will be used as long as it lasts. My skin was hydrated REALLY well, and around the eyes, with Jones Road (Bobbi Brown's new skincare and make-up line). I agree with your opinion of it as a foundation (from your test), although I think your make-up and you always look flawless! Damn that 10X mirror. LOL. Stay safe and well.

No, silicones are occlusive so they hold water/moisture onto the skin, they also help with product feel and spreadability.

For someone wanting full coverage it is a pretty good choice. I didn't like it because I didn't read that it was full coverage otherwise I would not have purchased it. I prefer the Chanel Sublimage Serum foundation, but it is still not out in the US yet. I must say the packaging of the Clinique although cute is not user friendly for people with grip/dexterity problems (like me). I found it extremely difficult to grip and remove the cap! I am sure this is a great foundation for someone. :)

The gal at the Clinique counter gave me a very generous sample...enough for 2 to 3 weeks and holy moly it looks wonderful on me...going on 74 and I do have dryer skin since menopause...use to have oily skin. I'm really excited to try this new Clinique foundation. I'm a big fan of the Even Better formulas and happy to see this comes with a higher SPF plus slightly fuller coverage. I agree this formula looks great on your skin! I'm not a fan of the glass bottle with pump but if it works for me I'm willing to overlook it.

Hi Angie, I’m learning so much from you. I’m going to watch your videos on eye shadow. I purchased a non-brand from Ulta and Mary Kay (MK) I’ve been a MK loyalist since 2001, but I’m starting to broaden my horizons 😊. Can I suggest to you to do a video on the eye/wing tipped look with products from Amazon. I’ve tried on my own but I just can’t perfect the look. I also wear ELTA 45 Oily to normal for face and body. I looked at review about the Beauty blender leveler primer. Every review talked about how very hard it was to get out and that they would not buy it till it was changed. Have you had any problems. I wear Clinique Stay matte foundation. I was curious to try the new foundation. It’s hard finding a great primer. You look fantastic ❤️

I think this foundation isn’t for dry skin. I’m using this and I have mature, oily, hyperpigmentated skin . It covered great, I always use primer, it last me beautifully all day. Compliments because it looks like my skin.

Have you tried Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Skin Caring Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C & E? It has no sunscreen in it. I have a problem with some sunscreens and this was very comfortable on my sensitive skin all day.

I had worn Clinique foundations years ago but not recently. I find it interesting that any serum foundation would be geared toward normal to oily skin. Since my skin is very dry, I always use a serum after sunscreen and moisturizer before my foundation.
