Haven't watched the rest yet, but Brodie should have still gotten a penalty stroke for going OB before he switched lies with Trevor. The OB penalty stroke applies to his throw, not the resulting lie.

More spin absolutely makes the disc turn less or later in the flight. Spin stabilizes the disc. Think of someone who throws with low spin and wabble, everything turns over out of their hand instead of flipping slower and later.

Definitely. High spin stabilizes and reduces/delays turn (and fade) on the disc. It's the reason Simon can throw a putter straight at the pin on hole 18 at Waco

More spin will actually hold the angle longer not make the disc flip more. More speed however will make it flip more. More spin on a disc is how you get a late flip.

It's speed not spin that makes a disc more under stable. More spin means more angular momentum and keeps the disc going in the same direction you throw it, where as the actual speed of the disc leaving your hand will cause the under stability.

More spin does not make a disc more flippy by the way ;). More stable (i.e. straighter). Think of a gyroscope. As it loses its spin it starts to wobble and will fall off the string.
