I have never really enjoyed Ript, but I never knew exactly why until I watched this video. There are entirely too many redirect cards. It genuinely felt like each player was punished more by their own cards than by the cards played on them.

Until you learn to wait until someone has played a card already on that hole, then they can't use another card to redirect.

I know it doesn't matter but Brodie was 1 stroke in the lead and lost a stroke on the last hole so they were tied at the very end until how it all played out. Doesn't matter with what Trever had at the end but still. Trevor got Par on the last hole and Brodie got Bogey.

Glad to see I bought my buster packs and starter deck before it was all sold out. Hopefully they release alot of new sets and often. Different Themed sets on play style. Different mechanics. A technical rule book. Example: Like declare that you have a shield on the upcoming card. Can you have up to 4 copies in a deck? Get organized games with Ript evo. Running draft games. Make the artwork better. (Like way better,) because soon enough there will be a pdf of them all. Accessibility to the packs are key. Get it into box store in the impulse section and you need to sell discs that have 1 card or a promo art card with it.

You guys should play this in teams in terms of score but individual playing. Like Brody and Connor vs Hunter and Trevor. I think it could add another level to the game like you can cancel your teammates bad shot or make your partners putt easier by moving them closer to the basket. Or maybe that could create some new ally oriented cards. Anyways, enjoyed the content as usual, keep up the good work guys!

Editor - Maybe to help with the bad youtube compression, the editor could upload at 60fps. If that isn’t possible, maybe just exporting at a higher bitrate. I think 1080p60 would fix the disks sometimes disappearing because of youtube compression on drives.

A house rule we added was the swap lies card (the person that gets hit with the swap lies isn’t allowed to use the re-tee rule) because that usually just makes that card lame and removes the fun of the struggle

Series 2 you guys really should do. Ript pro evo where you add pro artwork like a sports cards but it has ript game function like a Simon lizzotte card would force a player to take a Simon line or a James Conrad card would require a 20ft run up, Paige pierce you gotta mimic her putt style etc but then you can add higher foil rarities and numbered cards like traditional sports cards.
@threex12 жыл бұрын
Calvin could be basket ball putt, you could also just ask pros what they think their signature style would be to mimic on a card.

Brody your not “pulling it” watch where you plant your foot on hole 8. If you turn your toe away from the target a little bit. You will hit your gap. Your extension is great. Your driving with your hip. Your pivoting on your heal. It’s the angle of the plant foot
@sueinraleigh30912 жыл бұрын
I’ve noticed that too. I think Brodie’s feet naturally point outward so it’s probably difficult to correct.

@FoundationDG2 жыл бұрын
One for each player is ideal, but there is a rule set on how to play with one deck
@tmoz10172 жыл бұрын
Seems like there are too many cancel cards. Redirects are OK, because it still affects someone, even if not the intended person. Here's another idea. Maybe have a few cards that you play on yourself, for an advantage, that still can be affected by a redirect. An example could be, "Hitting the band counts as a made putt." , which could be nice for a longer putt. But then, someone else can redirect, and get that advantage for themselves, if they haven't already thrown. Another example could be "Unobstructed Stance: Move lie up to 10 feet, no closer to the basket, to give yourself an unobstructed throw." Cards like these allow you to build a deck to help yourself more than hurt your opponent, which could make for a nice twist.

If you're playing a shield, you should play it at the same time as the card. Otherwise it's like playing a second card after playing the 1st. And hiding it is kinda a weak move. Means I can just lie at a certain point and say I had planned on using the shield the whole time.

Ya'll have to work out all of these rules lol. Example: According to the wording- Rubber & Glue should only be used to counter a lie reposition *after* the lie has been established. Meaning, the person who created the new lie has to play from the lie they created. Not that the person the lie reposition card was played on gets to counter *AND* pick the lie.
