Hi Chris great work mate. On site we are always dealing with wet bricks it's a pain on the arse, one thing I find is when the bricks are wet and you've pointed up is to use a sponge, cheap £1 car washing sponges do the trick they clean up the facework and leave minimal marks on the perp and bed joints, a quick run over and it looks pretty dandy to be honest. Hope that helps!

I think most people who don't have a trade really don't appreciate the skill and experience it takes to do a job like this. The attention to detail and time taken to check each brick. The speed at which each brick is laid is also 10x quicker and tidier than the average man or woman.

@jamesako38732 жыл бұрын
I would off put a damp course in and a dpc won't last long because all the water from the path will draw up the wall and weaken it specially with those bricks because they just soak the water in. Looks tidy but it won't last many years .
@foundationgood1232 жыл бұрын
No, the path runs away from the wall (steep fall) also the bricks are a semi engineering brick, so water won't soak up the wall and the wall isn't weakened by the dpc!
