The Hollywood blacklist is heartbreakingly dramatized in Martin Ritt's "The Front" with Woody Allen and Zero Mostel, and "Guilty By Suspicion" with Robert DeNiro. Many actors, directors and screenwriters who were victimized by the blacklist had either repudiated the Party or had been peripherally involved. Elia Kazan, the Oscar winning director chose to "name names" and was permitted to continue his career, but alienated many friends. Parks was hired by John Huston to act in Freud in 1962.

But doesn t our differences make us who we are . Everyone is allowed to have their own views it does not mean that they are preaching insurrection. The revolt over Wall street profits , the call for adequate healthcare and housing , gay marriage , no matter what cause you name , These things are important things .

@cozyfoxstudio it was crazy. last time i checked, we have the right to believe in what we want. if you want to be a communist, go ahead. this was such a violation of people's constitutional rights. i'm not a communist, as i like stuff, but communism didn't scare me.

I agree that capitalists violated people's rights to believe as they like. Altthough I am not a communist, I think people have a right to have whatever ideology they wish. As far as plotting to overthrown the government, that is what our founding fathers did in the first place. We would not have our form of government had they not done so.
