I appreciate your comments on collector box mapping for this set and your organized piles! I've watched a lot of box openings already for this product and there are a few patterns to be aware of for where the mana symbol foils and similar big hits are likely to be. It’s been a while since we had a good ole fashioned mapping issue but it certainly feels like it’s a thing in this set. That’s really frightening in a collector product when there is only 12 packs. I would have an incredibly hard time trusting loose packs if people know the 2-3 packs to open in every fresh box.

@@WildcatMTG There is some variance across boxes, but I think youre right to point out there are 2-3 likely spots where the pulls usually are. Scary.

You probably caught it already but at 10:10 the Herald of Eternal Dawn is a Mythic that you put in the Rare pile. So +1 Mythic to your final count. Glad to hear about the potential pack mapping. I will certainly avoid loose packs, at least for now. Overall I'm excited about the set but I'm going to wait to purchase anything beyond the bundle I picked up today as I expect prices to drop a decent amount since the set will be in rotation for 5+ years. So many cats!!!!

I did catch it afterward but I don’t mind you pointing it out either! Yeah, I am reserving judgement until I see and experiencing a bigger sample size but I have seen and heard enough to at least be concerned. If there really are 2-3 spots per box that tend to yield the goodies then that should completely take loose packs off the table for people and would be both unfortunate and awful. P.S. Yay cats!! 😏😻

The duplication seems to be at the Dom Remastered levels from what I have seen so far.

I think the cat one will drop pretty good in price. With how much of this is being opened and the duplication.. have seen many a kitty doubling season across many openings. The confetti anime doubling season will likely stay the top

This is a different and longer conversation but now that MSRP is back, I believe the MSRP per collector pack is $25 which makes for a $300 box… at this moment, I can’t say I’d be into paying that number either as that is definitely not what I paid for this box.

@ not collector boxes. Play boxes, yes. Though we never know how big the print run is I believe collector boxes are, in theory, single print run.

Yeah… I don’t particularly don’t understand duplication on this level in a set that has like 700 cards…
