Selesnya has been my jam since well, the Selesnya guild. Glad to see you representing. The counters deck is what got me to Mythic (not high) and enjoy it immensely. The cards that helped push it over the top were Paw-Patch and now Llanowar. I don't play hydras. The interaction with PPR and the Botanical bestie is very endearing. Opponents like to lose games by targeting the wrong thing at the wrong time. : )

You’re so right about red aggro impacting the meta. I find myself taking cool synergy type spells out for just more removal and life gain. It’s limiting deck building. And I didn’t think you could have more people running it, then here we are. It’s even more prevalent.

I'd definitely love to see the Golgari Landfall deck, tweaked. So many routes you can go, too, with Fecund Greenshell, Blossoming Toroise, Analyst, etc.

Ash, that's my deck!! Lol.. as for requested variances, i run the pawpatch recruit. With offspring it really punishes opponents for targeting your stuff.,

At 27:10, oppo needed 6 mana to bring back "This town ain't big enough" and then cast it on the talents but only had 5. Without totentanz the combo would've ended.

I like kutzil in this deck for the extra card draw and it keeps people from killing your stuff on your turn. I have two in my build.

What about the two mana enchantment that gives 1/1 counters to attack and if it's three or more you U sac and ramp two. Would be good for counters and the Moosborn hydra

Gold Vein Hydra is good in 1plus counter decks. it adds some ramp ability and scales to speed.

What are your thoughts on Ajani, Sleeper Agent? It's pseudo-card draw and can put hella counters on your creatures. I've been using it, and it is pretty strong. Also, the four-drop Angel from Foundations draws you cards from getting counters, so it seems like a good secondary card draw outlet along with the Duelist.

I run one Ozolith myself, it at least makes the enemy waste a removal on it as I don't really need it but if it survives then you snowball so fast that they can't keep up

Why is there no fabled passage for double lands?

Probably because of the low curve in a 21 lands deck. It's bad in every starting hand that has Llanowar Elves, for example.

There's so many effect that put counters during combat tho, a fabled passage could win you the game out of nowhere. Let say you start the turn with a 4/4 hydra, play inkeppers talent, play fabled, hydra goes to 8/8 then a counter on it from talent and crack fabled, hydra goes to 18/18, it makes quite a difference imo, most opponents wouldnt play around a 4/4 becoming a 18/18 xD
