As a former engineer, I was red-pilled in 2009 when I did a computer simulation of the time it would take the building to collapse under the assumption that there was actually no force resisting the fall, but simply that momentum was conserved as one floor struck the next (pancaking) and caused it to fall. Under such incredibly generous conditions, it would still have taken the twin towers 15 seconds to fall. But they fell in 10 seconds, pure free-fall, indicating clearly that the lower floors were already taken out and falling before the upper floors struck them. Without an internal demolition, the fall of WTC1 and WTC violates the law of the conservation of momentum. That led me into a deep investigation. Gage does a fantastic job, but there is evidence from many other quarters of the same. Pretty much all of it has been scrubbed from KZbin.

I get you're pretty slow so I'll give you a simple analogy. Imagine a bowling ball going through a series of wet paper towels. There's going to be barely any resistance. The towers fell slightly slower than free fall. That shouldn't be a surprise considering each floor can only support about 1300 tons beyond their own weight, and the top section of building was at least 40,000 tons.

Listen up people, the Twin Towers had certain floors that were closed off for weeks at a time and nobody knows why. People, who were dressed like construction workers, were seen going in and out of those closed floors by hundreds of Tower residents every day but no one knew what they were doing. One of the weirdest things was they were never seeen carrying anything, including any kinds of tools. And they were all physically fit, clean shavin males between the ages of 20-37, not your typical looking construction worker. I have a friend who is retired FDNY who was there that day and he told me that he and few of the other firefighters that were searching the rubble for survivors, found partial support columns in the debris that had Det-Cord markings on them. Why do you think the media was not interviewing or allowed to interview any FDNY member that was searching for survivors? And the FDNY were also told by their commanders not to give any interviews to the media. Why not? The same went for the Port Authority and the NYPD. WHY?

I’ll give you something to think about…Look up what a stationary engineer does. The towers had a crew of 40, whom they lost 4. They know who’s in the building, what work is going on, where they’re working, etc. They have access to every part of the buildings and the site. I believe there was an elevator modernization project happening in the months leading to that terrible day..we know what that gives access to. So the engineers, the people who are responsible for meeting the FDnY in the lobby when they’re dispatched because they know the building and will bring the firefighters to where they have to go. Those guys, how isn’t there one interview with an engineer? 36 survived and were the first people on site since it was their building. There is barely no mention of the local 94 engineers except for an article in 2002 and 2005. Why is that? After all these years and no one asks? Everyone’s brain is stew; I don’t get it.

As a welding QC/welder at a nuclear facility working with 4” thick 4’ by 4’ plus H beams- that needed 300 deg preheat before any welding was done- which usually required at least 2 or 3 guys with weed burners or heating elements and insulation attached to the welding area to keep it at a minimum of 300 deg throughout the welding process- which also took at least 2-3 hours just to achieve preheat, I can assure anyone that thinks a couple gallons of flammable gas of any type, burning in a oxygen suppressed environment for a couple min and heating that much steel( high grade at that) to a temperature that would affect its grain structure, strength, malleability etc etc is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE.

That is like setting off more than a ton of tnt, or roughly 3700 sticks of dynamite. As the mass of and speed of the falling debris increased, the energy grew. By the time the collapse reached the bottom, the energy levels were around 1 kiloton of tnt. A single floor has no chance staying intact with the equivalent of a ton of tnt hitting it, and certainly not a kiloton.

It would have buckled and gone of in a different direction. It would have needed the whole floor to drop at the same time to get the momentum, but this wouldn’t have happened because at worst the steel would have buckled and started to compact the two floors. You would have seen this on your TV’s as the top compacted floor in sections, and even then it wouldn’t have collapsed completely because of the resistance of the lower building would of caused the top to fall in a direction away from the building from the residence, meaning a big chunk of the top building would be laying next to half a building in tower one. And tower two get hit lower, so this collapse would have been different from the first, but they both fell identical, they both fell perfectly. This shouldn’t of been the case

Perfectly round hole. No wings or anything else sheered off on impact. My dad was a building engineer Totally boring and quite unimaginative as person. To even think that he would support a conspiracy theory is impossible if you would have known him. He retired a few months before 9/11. In November of 2001 i visited my parents house and found him in the basement surronded by books and papers about science involving the demolition of buildings. He was to the day he died convinced that this was done completely different to what we were told by media. For me, it started a healthy curiosity into the world of conspiracy theory. What really got me questioning everything were the photos of ground zero. The steel support beams had been CUT. The looked like someone had taken a lightsaber to them at like a 60 degree angle. The metal was melted with rivulets hanging just off the edges, which were perfectly straight. There is zero chance in hell of that happening from the impact of a plane dozens of stories up. Those planes did not bring those towers down; they were DEMOLISHED.

Those cuts that you see pics of were cut by iron workers in the clean up after they collapsed. There’s footage of iron workers cutting those beams. Things like that this guy (Dick Gage) chooses to ignore and say that they’re not addressed just so he can keep asking for donations on his website. Even the part where he talks about fires reaching temperatures over 2000 degrees, those were the fires burning under the rubble in the days, and weeks after 9/11 which under rumble can get that hot. All these things that this guy says aren’t addressed actually have been and you can find it with a little bit of research….as long as you research more than conspiracies that omit this evidence just to keep pushing these theories.

I've always tried to reserve judgement on 9/11 as I never felt qualified to have an opinion and didn't want to assume anything incorrectly but now the evidence is starting to be undeniable. It is now my understanding the buildings should not have gone down smoothly but shunted between each floor as they hit and especially the lower ones where the steel got thicker. The technical details of Twin Towers collapses are fascinating - what failed, when, how & why. I enjoy discussing them with others who share a similar _genuine interest_ in understanding _what really happened_ rather than just making shit up to rationalize some political agenda. So let's talk about it. If at the end you disagree with anything, please let me know what you object to and why. Make it good. I don’t suffer fools. This will take just a few minutes. This is *my summary explanation* of Twin Towers collapses taking a broad view and building the case from start-to-finish, not just pointing out one or two random anomalies while ignoring everything else. It is based on _my_ observations, without appeal to or reliance on any authority. No politics or ideology, just the engineering. This explanation is agnostic to who planned and carried out the 9/11 attacks or why, does not require Rube Goldberg levels of complexity and makes logical sense, with each step in the process flowing naturally from the one before. It will include many critical details _the conspiracy-oriented internet tends to leave out_ and no whataboutisms. My hope is this will *dispel many common myths and answer most if not all questions you may have* about the Twin Towers collapses, because *anything can seem like a conspiracy if you don’t understand how it works_ While complex, most of the Twin Towers collapse mechanisms can be seen with the naked eye and easily discerned and understood by the layperson if sufficient time is taken to understand. The worlds engineering community had already largely sorted them out at least as early as October/November 2001. Still, there are many who can’t be bothered to look or perhaps work hard not to see. Science and engineering are boring. Wild baseless speculation and pathological theorizing is exciting. 1. The Twin Towers consisted of 4 primary structural elements that together _formed an integrated system_ where each relied on the others. 47 hollow box-section steel *Core Columns* carry the majority of the gravity loads. The 236 hollow box-section steel *Perimeter Columns* carry the remainder and ALL of the lateral (wind) loads. Long-span *Lightweight Steel Trusses* connect the core and perimeter column together at each floor with a *Hat Truss* on top to tie the structure together as an integrated unit where no element can survive without the others 2. The impact of 117 tons of airplane (= to about 12 dump trucks) at speeds up to 590 mph completely destroys the aircraft. This in no way implies the Towers come out unscathed. Some folks don’t get that. Hitting with *the energy of up to a ton of TNT* the impact damages or destroys many perimeter and some core columns (33 of 59 perimeter and 20 core columns destroyed at the impact floors in the North Tower), primarily through _bolt-shearing failures_ at the end connecting flanges, as well as _bending, twisting and fracturing_ of weld seams. There was *no cutting or slicing* - the reality was far more violent and messy. 3. The impacts destroy or damage fire insulation, fire breaks and sprinkler systems on multiple floors. Huge fires are started across _multiple floors simultaneously_ and allowed to spread rapidly with no effective firefighting or fire suppression. This was an _unprecedented fire event_ . 4. The *hotter steel gets the weaker it gets* . With fire insulation stripped away and no sprinklers the survival time of the steel greatly reduced. Gradually over time heat causes the lightweight steel Floor Trusses at the impact damaged floors to sag, which was observed and recorded. No steel melted nor did it need to. Structural steel will fail long before it turns to a puddle. It just needs to _bend_ 5. Sagging floor trusses pull on the increasingly weak and overloaded Perimeter Columns, causing some of them to bow inward by up to 5 feet. A straight column is up to 4 times stronger than a bent column. The bowed Perimeter Columns buckle and fail, initiating collapse. The formerly static mass above which the structure below could easily support is now converted into a dynamic mass up to 30 times greater. Because they have buckled, the *Columns above and below the failure point are no longer aligned* . The load bearing structure below no longer bears any load as it falls _past_ the lower columns, NOT onto them. 6. Thousands of tons of debris fall within the four outer walls, down through the open office space, crashing onto the first intact floor it encounters. This massive impact immediately breaks the bolted connections to the columns as the amount of resistance the Floor Trusses can offer is negligible. The falling debris slows only marginally and briefly. Note: 6a. This is NOT a _solid top block crashing into and “crushing” a solid bottom block_ . 6b. The debris *falls past the columns* not onto them. The columns provide no resistance to the falling debris. 6c. Only the bolted connections of the floor trusses to the core and perimeter columns can offer any resistance. A pair of 5/8” bolts at each end of each truss vs. thousands of tons of falling debris. 6d. No _laws of physics_ are violated. 7. This floor-led collapse progression _within the four outer walls_ can _only_ go straight down. Note: 7a. This process is often incorrectly referred to as “pancaking” which actually refers to a completely different process rejected at an early stage. The catchy name stuck but nobody knows what it is supposed to mean. Pancaking is too simplistic and inaccurate anyway. More like Kaiserschmarrn. 8. Collapse progresses through the _floor systems_ *not* down the columns, through the _path of least resistance_ . Rate of floor failures increases with each successive floor as momentum increases, reaching an average acceleration of 0.65 of GA, or 35% slower than true free fall. Bam, bam, bam down the building until there are no more floors to fail. The resistance offered by each successive floor is always the same. The mass and velocity and thus the energy of the falling debris are constantly increasing with every floor destroyed new falling mass is added. Some falls to the sides, but most falls down. More mass, more velocity, same resistance with each floor. Don’t get stuck on the _but the lower floors weren’t on fire_ nonsense. They weren‘t and didn’t need to be. 9. The Towers were 95% air by volume. As that air was compressed inside the building it is forced down the tower and blown out the sides *in reaction to the building collapsing* . Those were not “explosions”, it was _expulsions_ of compressed air caused by the collapsing building, explaining the low velocity, lack of flash, blast, supersonic pressure waves and lethal high-velocity ejecta. 10. Perimeter Columns become detached and peel away like a banana _behind_ the collapse front, playing out to the four points of the compass extending to more than 600 feet from the base of the towers. This was quite obvious from examination of the debris pile. 11. Core Columns fail last as their internal beam bracing is stripped away by falling debris and lateral support from the floor to perimeter columns is lost. 12. For those who care about how long this whole process took; 31-34 seconds from the moment the perimeter columns buckled until the last core columns hit the pile, or 1/3 the rate of true free fall. Don’t believe me? Just watch any video of the collapses and note the loose _truly free falling debris_ dropping much faster than the towers themselves. 13. Each Tower had a 1-acre footprint. Far from collapsing _inside their own footprints_ the debris pile spread out over 16 acres in a pile up to 14 stories deep. 8 surrounding buildings were destroyed and scores more damaged. 14. What was NOT observed were the 180-190 dB bangs of thousands of high explosive devices or the blinding bright flashes of burning thermite. Neither could have caused the (silent) perimeter column buckling that clearly initiated collapse. Neither explosives or thermite could have survived the impacts and subsequent fires either. A video of a shocked and injured firefighter using the magic word _explosion_ is in no way proof of _explsoIVES_ . The _pre-planne demolition_ case relies entirely on that sort of thing. There is zero tangible physical evidence and it would be technically impossible, totally impractical and completely unnecessary. No one would bother. 15. Finally, the Twin Towers were perfectly safe within their design envelope. They *only collapsed when taken far outside design parameters by an extraordinary and unprecedented event* *Impact + Fire (heat) + Time + Gravity = Collapse* . Remove any one of those four elements and there is no collapse. Ignore any of those elements (as many do) and you will never understand the collapses. The Twin Towers were an _integrated system_ in which no one component could survive without the others. One fails, the rest follow, through the _path of least resistance_ - DOWN - through the open space, bypassing the path of greatest resistance - the columns. Nothing I just described violates any laws of physics. All of the above is *true no matter who planned and carried out the 9/11 attacks or why* I hope you found this helpful and informative. I wouldn’t be surprised if the government had something to do with 9/11. With that said, as a licensed builder, it’s worth noting that steel doesn’t need to “melt”- it just needs to weaken. By getting very hot, steel becomes weaker and more malleable/elastic. Even if it doesn’t melt it, jet engine fire could definitely weaken the steel and, depending on the load bearing capacity, it could lead to a building collapse. Now the real question is, who planned the planes to fly into the towers? And, were there explosive charges planted in the buildings too? Or just the jets? Either way, it’s still possible that jet fuel could weaken the steel beams without melting them. Just food for thought

I am a 77 yr old female with a highschool education and I said to my co-workers "Those planes didn't cause this...melting I beams flowing red hot down the outside of the building!!!? The jet fuel burned of in minutes. Come on! This is a demolition! By the time #7 came down they could see it too! One thing we are finding out for sure is this is an inside job by our own Gov! I am not an engineer or scientist. I have always wondered why the towers fell neatly down vertically instead of falling in some direction. When structures are blown up by design even those sometimes go wrong and fall over like a tree. PBD always has really interesting guests and sets our minds to thinking.

It imploded because it was a tube build. The inner part of the buildings were weak as were the floor supports. The floor supports were damaged by the heat, the floors began to give way and the floors fell on top of each other. From there the steel walls were compromised, the structures imploded. If they were blown up at the bottoms they would have imploded from there. They didn't, they imploded from the impact zones. No explosives were found at the bottom of the buildings (as in demolition). If anything, the powers that be are at fault because they knew a terrorist had entered their country and did nothing about it. But the terrorists definitely took out those towers. And the 2 other planes/ the pentagon. Passenger and aircraft transmissions, phone calls etc, all confirm terrorists. Events leading up to 9/11 Bin laden and his ragheads, wanted their 17 Virgins in heaven! Radicalisation is a real thing, let's not go blaming the wrong organisations, not every event is a conspiracy. For every conspiracy idea about 9/11, there is a reasonable explanation. Yes we should question everything, I once thought it was a conspiracy too. The difference between a fire, and a blast furnace is moving air, how fast is the wind moving at that height? I know using a leaf blower will make a bunch of wet leaves in to a blast furnace, I melted a PVC pipe a foot below the surface

I visited the observation deck of the Twin Towers when I was a boy back in the 80s. When my mother called me and told me that we were under attack and one of the towers collapsed, I immediately remembered reading a nice little infographic they had posted on the wall saying how the towers were explicitly designed to withstand an impact from a typical passenger airliner- I believe they even mentioned the Boeing 737 outright. So either something went horribly wrong with the design or something wasn't right. Not right at all.

1. Jet fuel doesn't need to melt steel it only needs to heat it enough to where it fails under weight. 2. The metal you see dripping out of the building is aluminium, most likely from the planes fuselage and the buildings interior materials that can melt from jet fuel.

For those who weren't watching the live coverage on 9/11 I want to remind all of you that there was molten metal pouring out the side of the building as if it was being melted at extreme temperatures beyond anything that could naturally occur from loose materials and jet fuel. As someone who has personally smelted/casted aluminum (~1400°F) and copper (~1900°F) in my electric kiln (that can "only" reach about 2100°F safely) I know the best I could do in that is maybe soften stell/iron but certainly not melt it, I understand just how hot actually melting steel would require - now I do realize that in the towers after the planes hit it would gave been not only aircraft fuel but also paper, wood furniture, etc, egged on by "blown air" (crosswinds) through the tower at that height, so if you asked me could that soften the steel enough for a collapse? MAYBE, given many hours at those temperatures... However the blown air will also increase the "fuel" (jet & paper/wood) consumption rate - the jet fuel itself should have been burned pretty quickly aerosolized in the impact - I question whether it would have burned hot enough & long enough to soften cold steel I-beams... And at any rate I certainly don't think it would have been anywhere near enough to turn steel into molten metal pouring out of the building.

This guy should know better. No jet fuel does not melt steel beams, but what is does do is get them hot enough to reach their bending and breaking points. This has already been proved, and people just ignore that fact. The bending and breaking point of steel is much lower than the melting point, and you do not need to melt steel to get a beam to break. Even novices like KZbinrs have proved this. How did they prove it, well by taking the same type of steel and showing how easy it was to get it to break by using fuel, and not needing to reach a high melting point to get a steel beam to break. This guy should honestly know you do not need to melt anything to break it with heat. How is he an expert, and does not understand bending points, breaking points and melting points? Even everyday small jobs use heat to bend steel and to break steel, so he should be aware of that. If you a bent piece of steel, you literally just heat it up to it's bending point, and if you have a piece of steel you need cut, you just have to heat it to its breaking point. It is hilarious to me that when it comes to conspiracies, intelligent people seem to lose all reason and smarts.
