I live in New Zealand. I would have been 16 years old in 1995. I remember being at school and them pushing the whole "slip, slop and slap." A few years later they added the "wrap". We also had the earth worship song "We are the kids of the 21st century" and the climate change propaganda was in almost every kids show on tv. Toxic Crusaders, TNMT, and Captain Planet to name a few as well as The Wombles which was and English kids show from the very early years of the 80s. They even made toys of them. So as far as the hats things being current, that was also being pushed during the whole of the 1980s when I was a child, at least a good 10+ years before this doco came out at which point this dogpile creation was already up and running by that time.

@@gypsyHAASy I personally saw green “heat lightning” during Hurricane Milton. I was outside looking right up at the sky. A lot of other people saw it too and news articles said it had to be transformers blowing, but we didn’t lose power and we were out in the middle of nowhere FL. It didn’t come from off to the side like out in the distance. It was straight overhead. I also saw red “heat lightning” that wasn’t as defined as the green if that makes sense. The red was more generalized and the green was a tiny circle that spread out evenly in all directions. The “northern lights” in FL were the same shades of red and green but they were solid and kind of stagnant, covering the entire sky. Didn’t look like the videos/pictures of northern lights from up north with the streaky/curvy colors. Sorry it’s hard to explain.
