The only pastor I know who stop in the middle of his preaching to ask God for anointing.....and continue surrendering his pride, and thought and spirit to the only one who deserve the glory. What a great preacher....great discernment...because is so easy to get carried away by emotion as preach and end up talking by flesh and not by spirit of God.......Great man of God!

I love his message of taking the Bible literally and going for it! I believe that we are going to see a resurgence of hunger for the power of God working miraculously as He did in the book of Acts! Get ready church! I have been teaching at a summer dance intensive in North Carolina for the past couple of weeks, and God has been healing people here! A girl here had terrible pain in her knee and couldnt dance. We prayed for her and seconds after prayer she had no pain! And has been dancing!

I finally find a preacher wealth listen to. There is always a sense of pride that minister preach out of. They always go off track. They buy in a lot of this dogma and they use the Word of God out of content. We need now a Man of God like Chan, his Jesus like personality will get the church back on track. God Bless you Pastor

Thanks Chan. After 8 years of serving in Thailand we returned to a process of being undone just like this. The American church, doctrines and culture has become the greatest hinderance to God's Kingdom's advancement in our nation and world. We must awaken and abandon the god of self. God is using Chan's mouth to speak His call to the American church today. We must hear His voice through all those daring to listen and speak His call. List to His Spirit and He will confirm that this is true.

@DawnBreaking he does speak on grace just not as much in this sermon... Every sermon gets a different leading and truthfully we do hate hearing about the other sides to God. His wrath can be invoked, He's slow to anger but it doesn't mean He doesn't get angry. More so, we use His grace as an excuse to live in sun when in fact it should be the very reason to strive for holiness. God bless :) x

@mroc929 What do you mean void of theology? Did Jesus' sermon on the mount contain "theology"? What does your "Theology" motivate you to do in the real world regarding your neighbors? What does it do to feed the hungry, care for the poor or serve widows or any of the least of these? I think maybe you worship "Theology"... Your thoughts?
@BridesEyes13 жыл бұрын
@mroc929 I agree with Matt 28:20 and teach and try to live it. I wouldn't try to guess what you or Chan knows... My point about Matt 25 was to ask what Theology you get from it. I wasn't even making a point but rather asking for the Theology it. What is the Theology in Matt 25:31-46? Matt 25 isn't just the "gospel", it is included in the "obey everything I have commanded you". So, what Theology is in these verses? Are you avoiding the answer?

@mroc929 I would not at all put Chan and Bell (don't know Furtick) in the same category. If you could express something that Chan has wrong about his theology it would be helpful because I'm not sure what you disagree with. I heard Chan in this particular video continue to quote scripture and urge people to not only read it, but to do what it says. He pointed out the fact that God is a wrathful God who is holy. It seems that we didn't even watch the same video honestly.

Jim, Chan never considers syntagmatic and paradigmatic analysis before he speaks dogmatically, nor does he admit to the lack of indexical and deictic elements, and yet, he continues to spin "hell" without using non-linguistic and linguistic honesty. So, in brief, Chan is a great actor, but not an honest one....

The verse in Acts quotes: "“Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38) And most of the American Church denies it.
@Bigborian9278313 жыл бұрын
@usmc217 respectfully,even the verse you posted talk about doing works as proof of your savlation. Eph 2:10 it says we are created FOR good works. Also James 2:14-17 (faith without works is dead faith, or also known as non saving "faith"). Tim Keller says it best he says "We're saved by grace alone BUT not a grace that stays alone" The evidence of saving faith is a changed life poured out in good works. If you make excuses to not do good works, you're probably not saved to begin with.

Kaine: mind using smaller words for us simple-folk? And as far as accessibility goes, Twitter, radio, Facebook, Linkedn, church websites and the like didn't exist. When you say, "he's not accessible", what do you mean? Have you considered that maybe he'd rather take that time and effort and pour it into someone who is bearing fruit, or that is hungry for the word rather than being interviewed about anything? Interviews have been conducted. They're all over the Internet. People can go elsewhere..

@mroc929 Really - considering that I minister to the homeless, in the local detention center and the nursing homes I would consider that I do indeed put my Faith to work for the ministry of my Lord and only idol "Yeshua". I regard to defending my Faith, why need I for the Lord is Mighty and Great, the creator of all with what humans means can I defend He who is ALL. In regard to defending those of the same Faith, that is totally different. God alone can judge the heart!!!

So you don't take the Bible literally? I've listened to many of his sermons and more importantly, I've seen his fruit (Luke 6: 43-45). I've researched the church fathers and read what they wrote and love church history. Francis does nothing but lift God up and not himself. He speaks the truth and has a passion for God. We are all hypocrites and judgmental, as you are being right now, and God is growing us and showing us these things in ourselves. He's not perfect, but he's looking toward Jesus.
@BridesEyes12 жыл бұрын
This bitter and sarcastic reply to rgw64 was out of place and uncalled for. In light of the accusations you leveled at rgw64. Please tell us what you do to serve the least of these and how you respond to God's call to go and make disciples. Of all the people I know who devote their lives to listening to God's Spirit leading them, rather than being theology police, they have a humble attitude and gracious spirit.

Also, you accuse of defending Chan rather than his faith... I would ask you, why are you trolling Chan videos and spending your time bring baseless accusations? What are you doing with your time? What are you doing with your money? I would ask you to consider if maybe theology, rather than its Object of Focus, has become an idol to you. The NT Jews rejected Jesus because of their idolatry of the law, today "Christians" are rejecting Jesus because of their idolatry of theology...

Chan isn't accessible like Jesus. He's hidden away and uses his celebrity status to keep his audience baited. So, how could one do what you are suggesting in these circumstances?
@nassaniel11 жыл бұрын
To find practically anything they want short of his social security number. His goal is to disciple, which happens primarily through life lived together. None of his teaching means squat unless its paired with implementation and sanctification, and he gets that. Perhaps he'd rather focus on living it with a few rather than simply talking about living it to thousands, much like Christ Himself...just a simple mans thoughts.
