It's good to acknowledge all who contributed to Ghana's Independence including Nii Bonne, Osu Alata Mantse, Sgt. Adjetey and others. Regarding the President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP, they were instrumental in the Gold Coast gaining its independence eventually. Regarding the things that happened during the late President Nkrumah's watch, it was the bomb throwing and attempts to end his life that lec to the Preventive Detention Act (PDA). Eventually, the USA's CIA plotted the coup with the Army Officers and Police Officers who overthrew him! This was the start of Ghana's decline and Ghanaians are still suffering till today! I hope we have learned some lessons from the past! I have written a proposal for a National Monument to be placed at Independence Square to honor all the patriots who contributed to Ghana's Independence! May God continue to bless our homeland Ghana and the good people of Ghana! AMEN! 🙏🏽😊✝️🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭

@@LilDripy-g8e We are not debating who led the charge for independence, everyone knows Nkrumah did. It's about the founding of Ghana, that's the discussion. I suggest you read Nkrumah's autobiography to deduce the answer for yourself. Even Nkrumah did acknowledge the contributions of others. By the way, learn about the contribution of K A Gbedemah and you will know it's uneducated to say Nkrumah did it alone. I fully support the arrangement the president has made, by pluralizing the founder whilst singling out the achievements of Nkrumah by memorializing his birthday. Please go to KZbin for the audio version of Nkrumah's autobiography and you will thank me for that.

Check out Nkrumah's autobiography for a firsthand account. It's crucial to look at history critically and not just through the lens of propaganda. While one man didn't found our nation alone, Nkrumah had a vision for Ghana that we still strive for today. Let's be honest and fair in our assessment, giving credit and blame where it's due.

Jealousy go Shame. we all know Nana Addo wants to make sure his uncle and Co get the honour Nkrumah has. what he is not mentioning is how the UGCC was the British choice to rule Ghana, most likely going to carry out the wishes of the British whom they were dancing with everyday- something that annoyed Nkrumah and made him defect. they opposed Nkrumah from day one and alienated themselves from him and allied with the west against africa's true generals. Now today, they want to catfish their way into the seats of honour beside Nkrumah and Co.

Years to come we will look back and be grateful to this man. He may not have done it all but he’s played his part in making Ghana a better place. Yes, it’s not been all rosy in his second term but he’s done his bit in all facets of our country. This is Ghana. Soon we will realize the impact this man made despite the numerous challenges. Ghanaians since independence have always complained of hardship and will continue to do so. It’s not only under Nana we’re experiencing this. We will continue to see these things as government’s come and go. There will always be economic downturns, inflation will always be there. At least he kept it at single digits for 3yrs running. Even if you hate him, appreciate the social interventions he’s established. “Wo tan)kwaduo a, na w’ayi na mmirika. We will see if he’s indeed that bad in the fullness of time. For now, shalom.

Most of the population late a sense of history and that's why they don't understand this, Dr kwame Nkrumah was over 100 years ahead of his time Remember the British and other slave traders were and are still brutal colonisers and will make propaganda saying they built these but they didn't. They were interested in looting our natural resources, enslaving us for their plantation and destroying Africans Economy so we can't ever be free, they destroyed and killed all our strong leaders and now their companies and Cooperations still colonising us

Leading a country to independence is different from being a founder of a country . One man cannot be a founder of a nation .
