This is excellent! All pastors should use this outline. It keeps the man from diverting from the Truth or adding personal feelings to texts, and forces his submitting to the expository preaching of the word, all of which benefit Christ's church.

Anyone taking on a teaching position as mentioned in scripture, takes on a very responsible & accountable position before a Holy God. Preaching requires a lot of work and our Christian life is always on a constant learning trend. I had been attending a church where the Pastor gives a great message. Great speaker, down to earth, not arrogant. He Always Uses scripture, explains the history of the reading, brings it to practical life examples, keeps it simple,& stays on. topic track ( doesn’t go all over the map on various topics). The church is growing like crazy. However, I felt uneasy about one thing I kept hearing and it is that he feels salvation is always connected to baptism. Baptism is constantly pushed. He teaches salvation in Christ but you must be baptized to be saved. I cannot agree with this. This type of baptism teaching is one with the hope of salvation by works vs believers baptism. People can be deceived thinking they are saved by following a tradition . Salvation is in Christ alone. Once one becomes a born again Christian, the normal next decision is a public profession of faith through baptism. It saddens me that he will not see it any other way. I’m not judging, but baptism is but a requirement for salvation rather an act of obedience. .
