June 26, 1945, UN Charter is ratified in San Francisco. Less than three weeks later on July 16, 1945, Atomic bomb "Little Boy" rolls through San Francisco on it's way to Hunters Point Naval Shipyard for it's fateful rendezvous with the ill-fated USS Indianapolis. The army convoy carrying Little Boy likely passed right by the War Memorial Opera House on it's way to the shipyard.
