I can sing in head voice but whenever i try to sing in chest voice i automatically shift to head voice. Edit - I am doing vocal warm up and vocal workout from Jacob vocal adacmice (on KZbin) and his excersices helped me a lot!

Me too. It results in a loss of power in the voice. So there are some songs you will have hard time to sing like Old Rock and Roll Bob Seger.
@DenisMorissetteJFK4 жыл бұрын
music is life I saw one exercise on KZbin that addresses this issue. The author claims by doing it 15 minutes a day for one week should fix it. I did it for a few days and gave up. It was not due to laziness but because I was trying too many things and watching too many videos. That being said, I’m going to start doing it fatefully for one week and will let you know about the results.

I've been doing opera for about 3 years, and recently it came through my mind that my chest voice is almost non existent, because as soon as I started singing I was "forced" into head voice, and here am I, 3 am searching for study material to compensate the huge shiat

girl i! feel! you! I've been doing MT/choir for about 2 years now but without much private tuition so since I was put in soprano I literally only use my head voice and now when i try to sing chest its so cracky aaah anyways we're in this together ahaha xx

@@katsscrunchie2305 i feel you, i was a soprano in a choir in my pre-teen to teen years but when i sing to pop songs i can "hit it" but it kinda sounds a bit weak

I would love full sets of these excercises with no talking ( i practice every morning in the shower so it takes a long time when I'm not able to skip through the explanations) after your 100th time of doing it is like 'yeah i know 🤣🤣'. Love them, they've helped me such a lot xx

Hi Freya, I love your exercises!! I'm working on my musical phrasing. I need some rhythmic exercises like playing with the accents (downbeat and upbeat) on a phrase of a song . Thank you for your fantastic job on youtube! It's a treasure for my singing!

Just what I needed. I've been so focused on mix and head that I haven't been hitting my chest voice from multiple "angles". great exercises. really helpful. I agree: if you can make this into a one exercise after the other, that would be great. I guess that it isn't in your best interest because those types of things would help you earn the living that you deserve from all the hard work that you put into these. Again BRAVA!

Ok so, your voice is great, but I’m hearing head voice, not chest voice...my head voice is fine, my chest needs work,....my husband is a vocal coach and I asked, Is she singing chest? He said no..maybe a slight mix, but mostly head....

Yes, I’m confused about that too. I hear quite a bit of head/head mix too.

Why is there that extra breathy sound at the end of "high"? As at 7:52 and the following ones. There seems to be also the release of a strong tension of the abs. RIght?
