What about after login to app? We take backup of everything? Created world, systems and all modules?

From what I can tell I need to do a fresh install of foundry. When updating onto of 10 to 11 it can run into issues with some things working. So with doing a fresh install can I do a new fresh install at a new folder location and move over my assets folder and my world folder on the new install and it just work or do I need to reset up all links to files n so forth ?

can i use the backup of linux in windows ? (a friend do the world in a steamdeck, with linux, and we want to transfer the world to a pc with windows)

Hi there... so to confirm, are you saying a backup of a "world"? You're not talking about the entire server, correct? If so, I would honestly say that I haven't tried that, but I'm assuming that the formatting is the same - since they are mostly JSON-based files... which are typically universal. However, if you're talking about the entire server, no. Linux versions of the server are very different from Windows versions.

Hi, thanks for posting this tutorial. I've been wondering how to back up the data before an update, especially now that version 11 is available. Unfortunately, I am encountering a problem. I have Foundry pinned to my taskbar, but when I right click on it, all I see are two options: Foundry Virtual Tabletop (which opens it), and Unpin From Taskbar. How would I be able to make the two Browse options available, like you have when you right click the Foundry icon in your taskbar. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi there... so, did you drag the Foundry icon from the desktop to your taskbar - or pin it from the desktop? If so, you pinned a shortcut, not the actual program. So do this... hit your Windows Key, and type in Foundry. Once the Foundry App shows in the list, right-click on it. Does that bring up the two options?

@@asmodeah Thank you for the reply! No that doesn't do it either. Following your direction and right clicking I get 5 options: run as admin, open file location, unpin from taskbar, pin to start, uninstall. When I pinned it to the taskbar, I followed the file location and pinned it directly. I feel like there's a setting or something I'm missing that would give me more options. Sorry to be a pain, but I do appreciate the help!

@@mallagario You're not being a pain at all. It's very odd that you're not getting those two options. There is no setting that I know of that would cause this to change. I'm going to suggest that you select the "Pin to Taskbar" option, and see if that adds another Foundry icon to the taskbar, and if so that you right-click that one to see if it gives you the options at that point.

Also, can you confirm that you have the latest V10 of Foundry (NOT V11)?
