Dear GBG, I've just finished watching the conclusion to your game and I loved it. You are very engaging to listen to and have kept my attention for three hours now. The game looks great fun; it's been on my bookshelf for a month or so now (I'm painting miniatures) so it's time I gave up the painting for a read and my first solo RPG adventure. Thanks indeed (and I like the idea of your 12 sided d6 - seems a bit more random, however nasty some of your rolls turned out - maybe I won't buy your dice!)

Man! I do believe your dice were coerced by the final boss.

3:05 goes in depth to explain how ones are really bad and how it would be the only thing that would cause him to fail...immediately rolls a one LOL. I really enjoyed these videos, you COULD NOT catch a beak. Subscribed

This is the first set of videos of yours that I've watched and I have to just say, great little video series sir. The intro is excellent and always sends me into a fit of 16-bit nostalgia when I hear the music. You helped me out with a lot of my questions about this game, since the rule book is written a bit haphazardly. Excellent job! I'm looking forward to watching some of your other videos now. One thing I'm thinking you may not have taken advantage of is arming some of your characters with missile weapons, and then using them in corridors. Even though they might attack at a disadvantage depending on the enemy or if you're using a sling, it looks to me on page 52 of the manual that you could set yourself up to have four attacks regardless of what type of room you roll. What are your thoughts on this?

Great suggestion! My problem would be remembering to switch weapons when moving into rooms/corridors, I often forget to change marching order already :-)

Love this series. Helped me learn the game. Question at about 4:00 to 6:00 minutes. Wouldn't the Iron Eater spread out its three attacks evenly amongst the party instead of only the Rogue? Page 53 and 69 seem to indicate multiple attacks are spread out. Thanks for the great series.

That not a rule bend! The ring specifically sez "Automatically succeed". The *REAL* rule bend is the assumption that the 3 remaining intended attacks v. the wizard "fizzle" and don't redirect to active party members!

In my mind I envisioned the enemies rushing at the Wizard, and he disappears right before they attack. In the confusion of what just happened the enemies take the remainder of the combat round to regroup and redirect their attacks to different party members.

I haven't seen it on your comments (and I am still watching the last video) but to carry out your Quest you needed not only to "sleep" your enemies but also to tie them. And as far as I can see you have no rope.

I think one of my characters did have rope but I forgot to mention it.

Love watching this! :) So contrary to bosses, weird monsters do not flee or lose levels after losing more than half their hit points?
@GrayBoardGamer
@GrayBoardGamer 6 жыл бұрын
The rules state: "Weird monsters are equivalent to Bosses. Defeating a weird monster gives on XP roll, with the exception of Invisible Gremlins." There is no specific mention of checking morale or level loss. I would check morale if the weird monster is below half it's initial life points, but I would not drop a level as a boss does. That is how I would run it since I didn't see a direct mention, but I could have missed it.
