Even though Drogba and Lamps's goals were worldies that decision to give the 2nd goal was one of the most stupidest you'll ever see in such a big game, how could they have possibly been sure? VAR would have cleared it up as a No Goal easily, but they just guessed? Back then wasn't the rule that if you can't be 100% sure you can't give it.

Goals makes games and if you understood football you'd know that. If we hadn't conceded that goal, it would have been 1-1 and anything could have happened. A very poor refereeing decision led to that manner of defeat.

However back in those days the semi finals were played at neutral venues such as Hillsborough, Villa Park, Old Trafford etc, so why is this game at Wembley and not any of those other grounds? I think it was the start of the 90s they moved there as I remember spurs arsenal in 91 being the first. It may have been as a result of Hillsborough but don't quote me on that one.

@@thewealthcircle29 originally it was meant to be played at Elland Road but because the FA then decided to host the other semi-final which was Arsenal vs Tottenham at Wembley there was a campaign to have the Steel City Derby semi-final at Wembley too what with it being the biggest Steel City Derby ever. Pretty much, literally a Sheffield Cup final. Hindsight tells ya that the Blades would have had more luck in the game if they had stuck to the original plan of playing the game at Elland Road where the pitch was smaller and there was less space for Wednesday's vastly superior footballers to exploit but I'm not complaining.

How is it "big club bias" when it specifically mentions DERBIES. It's not the fault of the big clubs that there hasn't been a derby game in a semi final that hasn't involved them for decades. The only derbies since 1990 that hasn't had 2 big clubs in it were Chelsea-Wimbledon and Chelsea-Fulham, but I guess you'll still cry about your BiG cLuB bIaS because Chelsea were involved (even though we weren't exactly a big club at the time of those two matches).
