Every type of tuba goes way lower than the tubax and basssax.
@filiphauangundersen32284 жыл бұрын
BALDY MCNUTT Yes, but pedal tones are very useable and I view them as just normal low notes. It is nothing fancy about them, they are just lower. I have frequently used F0 (F under the piano’s lowest A) on tuba in concerts.

@@filiphauangundersen3228 bass guitar and synthesizer can go lower than a tuba.
@filiphauangundersen32284 жыл бұрын
christian henry but synth and bass requires no talent/technique to reach those notes. On tuba the air and lips (the player) make the sound.

I used to think anything below a bary was just for show, but you convinced me otherwise! This sounds amazing!

probably one of the people who believe you can't make music with large instruments for one reason or another... I have yet to hear a good reason why lower pitched instruments can't make wonderful music, like this.

I have a newly reconditioned total mechanical overhauled Conn bass sax I will be selling soon. Owned & played professionally by my father from the 30's to the 70's & idle since. It has 2 lower keys, not 3 (High E & side C, Mechanical Key work up to High F). Any ideas on where & how to sell it would be appreciated.

How many octaves lower is the tubax than the bari and is the tubax lower than a tuba (probably)
@Bruh-wt9zv6 жыл бұрын
It’s exactly one octave below bari I believe. I’m not positive if it’s the same thing as contrabass but if so that’s it
@razourblade72356 жыл бұрын
The tubax is considered a contrabass saxophone one octave below the bari, and yet in a lower key then a tuba, most tubas can hit lower notes then them

It takes a lot of breath to play a bass saxophone. That's one reason why it is not a commonly played saxophone. It's mainly played in Dixieland music. The Tubax is a weird one and it sounds like someone farted.
