We saw this 50cc four pot in June this years when we visited Sammy Miller`s Museum while on hols in Dorset, a great museum to visit if anyone goes down to Hampshire.

That would be Sammy's, growing up down there, I even got to go to his first museum, even more hallowed ground. The home of Rickman metisse. Met one of the brothers once, a bit grumpy. What makes that new place special was turning up on a Sunday morning when the man himself would wheel out a bike and fire it and ride around the courtyard. On this one day Ago was their and rode his MV. Looking typically Italian and the king of cool. Great place

Cool! Wish I could fit that engine on my mountain bike. Plus it also looks like a pretty rare engine so finding another one of those engines & the parts would be next to impossible.

thra5herxb12s I currently use a Staton Inc. friction drive kit powered by a 35cc 4 stroke Honda engine on my 29er. I can do about 30mph on it which is fast enough for my neighborhood & unlike the China kits it really takes a beating. After about a year of use the only things I had to do was change the oil & clean the air filter. I am looking to do a more powerful in frame build using a beach cruiser I have. Might use a 50cc Honda engine for the power plant since I trust Honda for small engines.

Cool. I wanted to use my stretch beach cruiser frame for an 80cc kit but it was too small so I bought a Schwinn style cruiser, fitted straight in but not as much fun as designing your whole build.

thra5herxb12s Yeah. The frame on my 29er mountain bike was also too small for any in frame engine mounting so I had to mount my engine in the back. But my Cruiser is big enough for just about any bicycle engine.

So how do you get reasonable compression ratio when spark plug is larger than bore?

With a bore and stroke of 25 mm, the capacity would be 49 cc, and a spark plug size of 14 mm would do, but 10 mm would be better.

youd probably only need a spark plug the size of a peanut for these cylinders

4 x 12.5 cc would make 50 cc - and that's too much, it should be less than 50 cc!

i would bet that it;s a bit more. 7 years later suzuki was making about 20hp out of their 50cc gp bike. the rk67
