Are you able to use your Helinox chair inside your tent ? I’ve just ordered a sea to summit air as read these are better than an actually chair as can easily be used inside tents in bad weather. Then watched your chair review video and wondered if I had made a mistake. Any thoughts ?
@MyLifeOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
No I can’t use my chair in my Nemo Hornet as it’s not tall enough. For this hike I actually brought a tarp to cook and sit under that I never showed in the video. If I’m expecting a good amount of rain I’ll typically take the tarp. The Sea to Summit air is the chair I first sat in that convinced me to buy my helinox. I didn’t get the STS air because I was afraid my lightweight mattress pad would pop sitting on it. I think you need a burly (heavy) pad for those things. In the end I think they even out on weight (heavier pad vs heavier chair) but I’m just guessing. The other thing I just thought of is my chair was a life saver on this trip to keep me from sitting on the wet ground. With the air I would have been putting my sleeping pad on the wet ground. (Unless I was sitting in my tent) and I couldn’t have done that with my wife in there too. That’s not to say it’s a mistake. I don’t think it’s a mistake especially if you have a good reason for it. It’s just thoughts I had while thinking about your question. Hope it’s helpful. Thanks for watching.
