Four killed in apparent murder-suicide in Texas after child drowns

Police in Allen, Texas, say they found two parents and two children dead inside a home in an apparent murder-suicide. The family had recently held a funeral for a child who had drowned. KXAS’s Sophia Beausoleil reports.

Most parents can't contemplate losing a young child and being able to go on from that. Many of us think "I couldn't bear that" or "I don't think I could go on living." When a child dies from drowning, sorrow and guilt are overwhelming. Saw that first hand when a 5 year old died. The grief was nearly unbearable for everyone. Suicide/murders come from deeply disturbed thinking that isn't rational. Its an act of insane desperation. May God comfort their family & friends and bring them peace.

What is the matter with people? A national depression epidemic...Are we all too busy to reach out to help a troubled neighbor? No one at school, church or mosque notices something is wrong? No co-worker gets a feeling that a colleague is deeply depressed, and steps in? No, only after it is too late. If they are new to the country and just lost a child I could easily understand why they came unhinged. I moved to a new state and am still unsettled years later. Everything wrong got blamed on the move for awhile. I felt like I “wrecked my life.” How wrecked would I be if I lost a child then? I don’t condone what they did but I understand it.
