It’s mathematically best to never use bait or rock, only ball. I think you would have caught two of those dratinis at least if you had just balled

Not true, your more likely to catch via bait strat. You have a 1/3 chance of catching via bait, 1/5 with just balls.

In safari week last year (about the same time of this video) I hunted this in addition to random encounters in Emerald Safari Zone. I got two shiny girafrig in Emerald and phased on a shiny seaking in fire red 😅

I remember I found a full odds shiny dratini, in my Fire Red game and I caught it on my first try. I still have it as a Dragonite. Plus I just caught a full odds shiny Lantuern in a randomize rom I am playing (unfortunate since its not on an offical game cartridge but very nice)

I don’t have illuminate or white flute for safari week so honestly fishing is a pretty solid idea at least for me since without white flute illuminate random encounters In the grass kinda sucks

Honestly you don’t really need either in the Safari zone! They’re still very fast encounters. White flute/illuminate just makes it insanely fast
