Four Metallic Rings Puzzle 🧩[Hard]

Houdini's Escaplologist puzzle box has this metallic loops puzzle that has four rings entangled into each other. It is called "The Chain Puzzle" and the goal is to detach one ring and then reattach it again. However, I found that the goal indicated in the box is quite ambiguous that mentions "Can you untangle the rings so that they sit in a row?"
