I was a bit surprised myself that I found it so quick. I was lucky to spot the move of the lid.

It's impossible to tell which box I will choose, they all are so beautiful. If you have some difficulties to open the box is that the wood tends to grow and shrink with humidity.

It is hard to choose one, much better to have all 7 boxes :) I have a couple of wooden puzzles that are stuck because of humidity. :(

They changed the design for small box #3! It is now more simple with only 3 moves instead of 4, the side panel no longer slides. They removed that mechanism! I am disappointed because I recently got the newer version and unfortunately had to find that out.

Karakuri boxes remind me of the weapons used by the robots in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. They are also opening boxes.

I do not think you have the full set. For some strange reason, there are the Karakuri Small Box #2 and the Karakuri Small Box #2S. They are different !

Karakuri boxes are not cheap but they are very well made. Small box series is the most affordable out of all Karakuri boxes.
