I love how voiceplay went full 80s theme in this song and for In the Air Tonight. The duo missing each other duet style and spanish were a nice choice to not just clone the original and make it different as a cover.

By inserting the Spanish with Ashley and Cesar, it opens up a whole other base of possible new viewers and fans.

Ashley and Cesar grew up as kids in Puerto Rico before their families moved to Florida.

I had this tape cassette and had almost all the songs memorized. Total Eclipse was my second fav song.

Clearly, the star of this video was Cesar's shirt. 😂😂 I immediately thought of Saved by the Bell too. I swear that was the background in the opening song. 😂

I liked Geoff in pastel. I cried through the first 37 times I watched it. I love the story--telling that they do. The video/vision was all Eli.

You'd be welcome to my firstborn , she's all grown up now. :) The Spanish version of this song was very popular in Puerto Rico, where Cesar and Ashley are from, so they included part of it in this. I think the tempo was pretty much the same as the original This was a softer version. Bonnie Tyler had a very rough tone to her voice. But I liked it.

Idk if this is the different generations thinking differently or whatever but when I saw Cesar's shirt, my mind went straight to Rocco from that one cartoon lmao 😅

Oh, I love this one, I really really do, I was surprised how much! It's in the top tier for me! In no small part because of Cesar (I love that guy, he's such a ham, just like me, so I relate to him!) taking one of the top parts. And Ashley has such a clear yet sultry voice! I also love the Spanish, Cesar has brought that to several Voiceplay vids, including his first one in "We're Good." It just sounds fantastic and fresh. I have to ask my husband to translate though. I can't do languages (including math). In High School, I tried to take Spanish. I sucked at it. Halfway through the semester they came to me and literally said "You have no chance of passing, we're putting you in study hall. THAT I did well in. Oh, and the only reason I was able to graduate is because our district counted theater and choir (which I was in all 4 years) as languages. It doesn't end there, though. You know who DOESN'T count choir as a language? Colleges. So at SB City College I had to take two semesters of Italian (I figured it was closer to Spanish and I liked many things Italian) and only passed because we had a really nice, cool, easy instructor who took pity on me. It was actually kind of fun, the instructor would bring his accordion and we'd sing songs like "Volare!" in Italian. One more chapter-when I got to a UC, I still had more language requirements. I remembered NOTHING from my Italian classes, save one sentence, "Ho una fame de lupo." "I'm as hungry as a wolf," and I only remembered THAT because of the Duran Duran song. So, I had no interest in taking a language again. However, as I was an English Major, I DID have an alternative. I could take several semesters of Italian plays and books and such that had been translated to English. So I did. Read Dante. It was pretty cool. Or hot, as it were. Sorry, life story tangent. Great reaction guys! 💙

No problem about the tangent. It was cool. Love how you classify math as a language. I can see that.

@@coletedeux 😁Oh, it totally is! Look it up, "The Language of Mathematics." So is Logic (fallacies and such). I actually was taking a Finite Mathematics course (the last Math class I ever had, passed it literally by TWO points, long story) and a Logic class at the same time. I loved the Logic class, one of the best teachers ever. I took it specifically because he was the teacher, such a nice, funny guy, who really tried to help me, and the subject matter was super interesting, but I just couldn't do well in it. When I noticed the parallels to the mathmatic formulas in my other class, I realized why, they are very similar in how things work within the subject matter. Because I'm bad at it, I can't really explain it better than that, though. Oh, and being female, and just being me, I have my own crazy (to other people, it makes sense to me, LOL!) brand of logic as well.🤣

I have a complicated relationship with this song. So I'm unusually picky about what versions I find pleasing to listen to. That being said, I think Voice Play's version sounded really good! I love the featured female singer's voice. She's wonderful! And of course the duet portions with Caesar sounded lovely. Great reaction as always gentlemen! Cheers!

I *detested* Bonnie Tyler when she released this. It was all we heard for weeks, tv or radio. The only version of this I ever liked was the Literal Version of it ("Fonzie and his clones..." If you've seen it, you know!). This has been the only Voiceplay release where I had to talk myself into watching it - but I shoulda known. Ashley and Cesar are lovely together, and the emphasis of the song is entirely different.
