Hello Rolan, thanks for the beautifully put together video. We are going to the Four Seasons later this year, did you have any problems with the authorities or the Four Seasons when you were flying your drone? I want to bring mine along but I wasn't sure if there would be any problems flying it there.

Honestly I’m not sure! I believe it’s safe to fly around the island, but flying over the resorts is probably not allowed. I took off, swept over the resort, and landed pretty quickly. Didn’t spend more then 10 minutes in the air, if that. It’s worth bringing to shoot other parts of the island though. Definitely go check out the arches, if you can by boat. Prickly pear island was remote and beautiful, and I heard an island called Sombrero (while tough to get to) is an incredible sight to see. Look it up. Have a great trip!

Amazing videos! Thank you for sharing! We are planning our first trip to Anguilla with 2 kids (8 and 12) and are trying to decide which resort. I've mainly been looking at the Four Seasons and Zemi Beach house (and maybe Frangipani). My kids love to spend hours at a calm beach just playing beach games. Any suggestions for a family?

Appreciate you watching! I think you’ve selected wisely. Zemi Beach House and Four Seasons are probably the best options for your kids. If able I would highly recommend splitting your trip between the two if you are at the island long enough. If not I highly recommend Four Seasons over Zemi. Zemi is very nice, but doesn’t have as many amenities as Four Seasons, and the sunsets from the center pool are unbeatable. Enjoy!

Hi Rolan, we just got back form four seasons in Anguilla but did not make it to see Malliouhana resort. Which resort did you like better for 2 adults. I read some not so good review about Malliouhana service at the pool and beach area? Please share your thoughts. Trying to determine if we should go back to four seasons or try Malliouhana to get a different feel. Thank you.

We received excellent service at both resorts, but I must say ... we arrived at the very tail end of the hurricane season. Both resorts had only just reopened and were barely 1/4 full. I am not sure what service is like when they are in full swing. I do think it is fun to explore more then one resort to see different areas of the island .. different views from another perch. If on the island for 6 nights going to both might be a good call. With that said, Malliouhana is very different. It is much much smaller. It does not have the variety of pools, restaurants, and services Four Seasons offers. However, it does offer a more unique style .... very instagramable ... makes me think of a resort Wes Anderson might design. But it isn't for everyone. In the end it will come down to your preference. I hope this is helpful. Good luck.

We did stop into Cap Juluca to check out the resort and spent an afternoon there. The beach at Cap is amazing, but we felt that Cap Juluca was a bit too stuffy/corporate compared to Four Seasons & Malliouhana. Additionally the locations of Four Seasons & Malliouhana are better, sitting atop red rocks, facing the sunset. If you plan on renting a villa and spending most of your time there Cap Juluca might be a great choice, but the Four Seasons has more dining options, more pools, and abuts 2 beaches. Also note that the sunset bar at Four Seasons is tough to beat. Malliohana is extremely stylized and the perfect romantic getaway. If you are on the island for 5 nights or longer you could stay at 2 resorts!

Yes the beach at Cap is hard to beat. It’s so private and because of it’s shape and location the ocean is pretty calm. What we like better at Four Seasons is the facilities and the resorts location, atop the red rocks and sticking out practically over the ocean. When on the beach the views of the resort are fabulous, whereas Cap feels more tucked inland in a way. It’s hard to explain. If you want a larger resort with more dining options and the best sunsets Four seasons is the Jam. If you want private, boutique, luxury, Cap is a top choice but I would recommend looking at Malliouhana as well. When it comes to decor and style Malliouhana is the most Instagramable of the Anguillian resorts. Enjoy your trip!!!

@@rolansereny7565 thanks! I only looked into the Cap Jul and four seasons and didn’t know about the maliouhana. Is it as luxurious as the four seasons and cap jul? I’m not looking for restaurants or best food as I’m on strict food diet. I’m looking for the most luxurious similar or Aman style hotels. :)

Ahhh Aman has amazing resorts. Between Cap, Four Seasons, and Malliouhana you can’t go wrong. I’d say they are all on a similar level when it comes to being the most luxurious resorts in the area. My wife and I preferred Malliouhana and Four Seasons to Cap. For a Belmond Resort we felt Cap was a bit underwhelming to be honest, but we did not stay in their Villa’s so maybe that’s where they shine. If you want Boutique I’d suggest Cap or Malliouhana. If you want big Four Seasons is the jam. If you are into the very distinct style that Malliouhana offers go there! I hope I’ve helped. Enjoy your trip. We hope to return soon.

Thx for watching. We stayed over the last week in October, which turned out to be an amazing time to visit the island because they were closed for the hurricane season prior to our arrival. We ended up being among the first people arriving at Four Seasons and got a free upgrade from a Garden Studio to a Ocean Suite. Double the value!!!!!

@@mahmoudebrahim2573 We were very lucky ... it was sunny most of the time with just a few tropical storms. Note most tropical storms do not last very long ... from 10 minutes to maybe an hour. However during this time of year I suppose weather can be a bit of a toss up ... but it was well worth the free room upgrade.

Any preference between Malliohana vs Four Seasons?

Oooo that’s tough. It’s a matter of purpose and preference. For a romantic trip such as an engagement, honeymoon, anniversary, etc .. Malliouhana is it. It is THE premier boutique resort, lush with flowers & butterflies everywhere! It has highly stylized, distinct decor, a soaring ceiling with tall rounded doorways, and a cliff top position offering incredible vistas. It’ restaurant hangs over the edge of the rocks while a stacked double infinity pool lay opposite the main residence. Malliouhana is one of a kind. Don’t write off Four Seasons … it is impressive and sits on one of the best positions on the island, nested between 2 beaches. From this corner sunset views are stupid good, and can be best observed at …. wait for it …. ‘The Sunset Lounge’ of course. 😜 Terrible name aside, this bar is hands down one of the best place on Anguilla to sip a cocktail & smoke a cigar during sunset. Regarding ambience the Four Seasons is meant to disappear into the natural scenery that surrounds. The buildings and walkways are mostly made of the same materials, resembling white coral or neutral color stone. It’s a stark contract from Malliouhana’s colorful interior, but it serves its purpose perfectly, creating a very serene environment. A Few things to know. 1) Four seasons caters far better to families then Malliouhana 2) Malliouhana in turn caters to couples a bit better with what feels like more personalized service 3) Malliouhana has only one restaurant for dinner & one double(stacked) pool 4) Four Seasons has 4 restaurants and 3 pools BEST PLAN? Go to Both if you can.

@@rolansereny7565 Yes I did. My Dad Oscar and I designed Cap Juluca back in 1988. We then did Temenos and the initial residences at Aurora which unfortunately sat half built for many years. It seems highrise structures are dominating the seascape lately. I recall you couldn't build higher than the palm trees at one point.
