@@AdventureEncounters They are opening back up this month on the 19th. As of now they require a negative Covid test. Hoping things are better with covid bu next May! The food was so good at the Four Seasons. We went to the sunset lounge every night. We at off resort at the Sunshine shack( best bbq chicken, grilled lobster), Straw Hat, Ocean Echo, Dad’s beach bar. We also were lucky to be there on Anguilla day. All the locals were out on the beach with great music, food, and boat races. We were able to tour one of the Villas and they are amazing!! My wife is trying to talk me into goin to Dubai instead of back to Anguilla lol

That would be awesome to see! Gah...sunset lounge was SO AMAZING! We loved the fact that we could swim and listen to the live music, and watch the sunset!! Oh wow... Dubai is on our list! Have you been before or would it be your first time? We have been talking about Dubai for YEARS! Well... you will have to let us know what y'all enjoyed about Dubai if you end up going there instead! One of our bucket list adventures is to sky dive in Dubai and see 'The World'! We will be there eventually lol 😆

I often go to St Martin's with my daughter. We go to Anguilla on a catermeran tour. Port at Rendezvous bay swim there for awhile, then bus it over to Shoal bay. Both beaches are spectacular. Going to Aruba in December 2021 then thinking about going to Anguilla after that. But I'll bet the four seasons is very expensive?

Oh thats awesome! We wished we would have island hopped for the day while we were in Anguilla to St Martin! Next time we go, we will definitely be island hopping for sure! Anguilla has some of the pretties beaches I have ever seen... and we live in Florida lol. We went to Aruba right before going to Anguilla (made a few KZbin video on that if you haven't seen them already). And honestly, I think it was a little more pricey than what you will find in Anguilla (food, shops, resort, etc). But ya, the Four seasons for the 5 days we were there (which included breakfast) was roughly $4300 but it was honestly just an incredible place to stay and where its at (location wise) is perfect! lots of restaurants walking distance on Shoal bay (sounds like you ha e a general idea already)... but in my opinion, we would stay there 10 times over! We did Aruba, had a great time, but probably won't go back, but would come back to Anguilla multiple times. If you stay at the Four Seasons, be sure to check out the Arch (did a video on that as well)... its seriously beautiful! Hello hello! The sand was like a 'medium soft' if that makes since. it wasn't an 'abrasive' type sand, I would say it wasn't super fine, but it was soft. Have you ever been to Miami beach before? I would say its similar to that but maybe a little softer. It was the same on the beach and in the water. Now if you go down by the arch...its primarily all rocks, no sand. I noticed FS is on a cliff and surrounded by some rocks. How was the sand in the water on the beaches? Sometimes, the sand is smooth on land but rocky in the water.

From our experience, yes it was a little cheaper and in my opinion, We would stay at Four Seasons again... it was amazing! Four Seasons is walkable distance to multiple other resort and restaurants, where as Belmond Cap is down its own private road and a ways away from other restaurants/resorts. Wasn't able to confirm on the website, but I'm guessing the $154 airport transfer you mentioned was via boat to the Sint Maarten airport. Maybe.

No, actually that was from the Anguilla Airport to the Four Seasons. The ferry rides from St Maarten to Anguilla, I think are about $20 pp (Which takes about 30 minutes to get to Anguilla)... unless you want to take a private boat which is about $150 -$300. Same prices if your going to St Maarten from Anguilla. The resorts don't actually offer shuttles directly from the Anguilla airport (SXM), but you can 'pre' book a shuttle (which is $150) or you can do like we did and grab a taxi (plenty of them at the SXM airport). Just to clarify, if you fly into Anguilla's Clayton Lloyd Airport (AXA), it is just a short taxi ride to any lodging and zoned, flat rates are set and published by the government. Most taxi drivers offer a tour of the island as well. Some accommodations offer pick up (some even offer a vehicle). Rental car agencies are not located at the airport, but you can taxi to an office or they will deliver a car to your hotel/villa. If you fly in to Sint Maarten (SXM), the airport is on the Dutch side. To take the public ferry ($20), you must first taxi (~$20) to the terminal in Marigot, on the French side. If you want to spend some time in Marigot, this works well, but if you just want to get to Anguilla ASAP, it can simplify things to take a private ferry from Simpson Bay ($65 for set sailings or you can book a private boat). They both arrive in Anguilla at Blowing Point and there are a couple of rental options nearby or you can hire a taxi from there. My wife and I are planning to go again in March of 2022. Are you flying into Anguilla or St. Maarten? Next time we go, we might fly into SXM and stay a night and check it out for a day, but we know its super busy compared to Anguilla We LOVED the fact that Anguilla was literally empty and we nearly had the beaches and coves to ourselves!
