It's sad to see my brothers and sister's leaving in these conditions and to make it worst they federal prison is literally I throw stone away almost like a constant reminder. I just don't understand why the government isn't fixing there leaving situation I mean how are people supposed to think positive being surrounded by such a depressing situation man that's crazy. God bless these people and God continue to give them the strength they need to better them selves and they living conditions 🙏🏼
@1308SPAZZ3 жыл бұрын
That’s the reason for projects, research and experimentation. I’m in baltimore we have some of the oldest projects, jails and churches in the country and the projects that are left are depressing just to ride by doing 35/40mph
@MallyG6782 жыл бұрын
The government won't intervene b/c although it's a federally subsidized apartment (section 8) it's still just an apartment complex, not a project. Fortunately, the new mayor (Andre Dickens) just approved/granted 1.5 million to get most of the tenants out and into a new area but who knows where that will be. Btw, most of the projects in Atlanta were torn down anywhere from 25 years up to 10 years ago (HOPE VI act) , but there's a lot of apts here that seem like projects to folks that don't know any better.

Yea that was bold, but yea I’m glad he showing how these folks is livin because that’s unacceptable. These are apartments, not projects. That’s why they still up the projects in Atlanta was 10x worst than this place. That’s why they tore all of em down. I stayed in one of the most dangerous ones where you better be in a car and not on foot going up in there. Them dudes use to stand at the gate with guns on they side. Mofos were more ruthless back in the 80’s and 90’s compared to the new generation. Atlanta hood folk was territorial af back then you couldn’t even walk up in them hoods back then.
@Mario_Real_Talk3 жыл бұрын
This is currently the most dangerous in Atlanta, but when all them projects in Atlanta was up in the 90’s and 00’s. It was projects WORST than this. Eastlake Meadows, Techwood Homes, Perry Homes, and Jonesboro South was HORRIBLE. I swear in Perry Homes you saw a dead body every other day. You couldn’t even sit on your own porch they was shooting everyday. Blood in the grass, blood in the streets, they was shooting in the school yards. Drive bys. My mama had to keep moving my bed around because bullets was coming in my room. Sometimes the bullets would from the back of the house. Sometimes in the front, and sometimes front and back. I seen dudes get beat down and stripped naked lol. Them projects was bad and it was good times too tho. 4 seasons ain’t NOTHING compared to the projects back then in the A.

Chaotic layout to these Apts, lack of proper parking, dumpsters located so far away from the housing, there is small wonder trash is everywhere. These buildings did not decapitate from just the tenants who live there, but by the lack of basic maintenance. Floors rotting out at the front door, thats from water leaking in, and again, is a lack of maintenance issue. If the management only collects rent, and fails to address the maintenance concerns, why would the tenants care anymore about the location? It's obvious the property managers stopped caring long ago. We have to do better. As tenants, as property management, as a city, as a state, and as a nation. This is shameful. Stop failing our own.

This is an example of the true ATL street culture. No need to show off whats going on and implicate yourself. No one should be forced to live in neighborhoods like this. It seems like a choice but for some ppl it really isn't. Even just living in areas where neighbor's are hard to deal with and you can't just move from place to place. The major should held responsible for making ppl live in that type of condition. It's discouraging and no child should see that as normal. I hope this video will offend the right ppl into making a difference for poor ppl as a whole. I’ve never seen 4 Seasons this empty… I have a strong connection to that community. One of my former students is in this video. But, the owners of that property need to be locked up!!!! Y’all just don’t know they types of conditions people there had to live in

It would be easier to bulldoze them and build $500k townhomes because the gentrification train is coming through this area.

@@laryanryan9170 they not tearing em down, they doing renovations eventually. Plus, this place sits directly next to a federal prison. Nobody in their right mind is going to spend 500k on houses next to a prison. Prisoners at one point from what I heard tunneled their into them projects to hang out. I heard this story from multiple people. People would only move out that way when that federal prison goes.

Yes this one girl I spoke to that lived there told me she left when she started seeing multiple rats.

@@Willworld. they been saying this since 2019. Those projects still sitting right there occupied. Killing still be happening there and police won’t even respond to go out there. Plus, they can’t kick them people out because they squatting in them places because they won’t give section 8 to them. I give it 5 more years. It will be gone, but until then, I would not even look that direction. It’s dangerous over there.
