What, 21 degrees, go back in the bed and stay warm. Thanks for taking us along on your visit. Very nice motel and looks very clean. I just can imagine during the summer, with the sound of the water in the creek, just so relaxing. Well, it's North Carolina, heaven on earth.

Thanks for another great review, the view is awesome! I understand about the cigarette smell, it's a deal breaker for sure as is the heavy smell of deodorizing spray, glad the room was better this time. We had a horrible experience at a pet friendly hotel in Cherokee and another in Pigeon Forge but the Smoky's are still my favorite place to be.🥰

@Rebecca-wm3jr the Smokies are absolutely the best! This is a beautiful motel, and yes, I was very glad there was no smoke smell this time. To be honest, I didn't even remember smelling it last time, until I went back and watched her first video there. I really don't even hold it against the motel. Sometimes, guests just don't follow the rules and do what they want to do.

The fan is loud in the bathroom lol, but I love the mountain hotels. It is very clean too. The creek is my favorite too. ❤❤😊

@cathymcgee1674 Yes, it was loud. But it seemed like the camera made it seem louder than it was. It sounded terrible on the video. I remember it being loud, but not that unpleasant.

Awesome review! I went back and looked at the video from when you stayed there earlier in the year. Will definitely put this one and the Stony Creek on my bucket list. Was gonna stay at Stony Creek last year but life happens & I didn't get there.

Are rooms secured with updated motel locks or just old key and deadbolt? Some of the older ones it seems people can have keys made if they are old style deadbolt and not very secure places to stay.

@bradleylove8606 This motel was still a regular key with a deadbolt. Like the older ones. Which honestly, I kind of like it that way. I seem to have a problem with the newer plastic keys becoming unprogrammed and not working. We're both pretty prepared if somebody were to try to come in on us.

I'm sorry, but I didn't get up close enough to look. I just noticed it was open. We bring our own Bibles, so I don't usually pick up the Gideon Bibles that are left in the room. I just figured they had it open to a certain spot for a reason, so I left it alone.

Hello & thanks video 😊 talked to on your country vittles video & water fall hike video.. a friend & myself are hoping to are memorial weekend ride (2025) something we started in 2004 as veterans, last 3/4 yrs we stayed at 5 star motel..but we're hit with flooding from hurricane Helene 😢 & might not be open for 2025? I'm checking on my phone maps apt to stay 2025.. Thanks for the review The people at 5 star motel treated us like family & 🙏 they can recover 🤞

I would never stay in a motel w/ 2 ground floor entrances. Too dangerous. Not only was the TV at a bad angle, it was too small. The room carpet looked dirty and the bathroom fan sounded like a 747.
