👍👍👍👍 From a longtime Promaster owner! IMO that drip rail should be stock on these vans right from the factory. I've had the same one for years and it's holding up well and really makes a huge difference. For those considering it, I would recommend extending it beyond the door opening in both directions, it reduces the chance of it draining back into the door opening as the rain picks up.

Great tip, Johnny! If you have any more ideas, I'm happy to consider them for a video. I wanted to include the window coverings but maybe in the next one!

Are use exercise steps. You can stack them to whatever height you want which is nice on uneven terrain.

Cool Jamie... I thought you were going to say front tire chains. I had a 2018 travato and it got stuck easily as the weight was mostly on the back tires.

Best thing about that Promaster is when it self destructs (and it will) you can use it as a chicken coup.

Hi Jamie!!!!! Nice video. I've been thinking about a promaster. I like the 4 things that every promaster owner should have. Yes,,,, it might cost more up front,,,,, but it's cheaper as time goes on!

All very good reasons why I like my Nissan NV3500, all those issues don't exist. Rain doesn't run in, grab handle is already there, step already built in, and door is more solid and stays where you put it. Sure don't understand why they stopped making these vans, never been back to the dealer for repair in 7 years with 80,000 miles.

That's great news, Captain Max. Yeah, Becca had the running boards on hers and kept banging them up.

@@enigmaticnomadics no running boards on the Nissan, open the sliding door and there is a step below floor level.

Promaster..Hmm...(1) Triple A.....(2) 200 piece ratchet set...(3) Hydraulic floor jack...(4) Patience for repairing the van, cash for parts, and a good electric bike for transportation....Or just steer clear of Dodge Brother/Chrysler products if your thinking long term..It's a nice looking van, but, as always, looks can be deceiving...Just sayin'.....
@johnnyrambles3 жыл бұрын
Have you owned one? My 2015 has never left me stranded and I've never had to do a roadside repair or purchase a part that cost more than $100. I do all my own maintenance on the van and one of the best things about the Promaster is the low cost and availability of new and used parts. The 3.6 liter engine and drivetrain was used in so many Chrysler products that parts are everywhere for it, and most techs are very familiar with the issues that it can have. All brands of vans have some common issues and the PM is no different in that regard. Having owned others in the past, my Promaster has been as reliable and probably a bit better than my Ford and Chevy vans were. The fact that it has twice as much room inside and gets 17mpg on the highway when my Ford E-350 was lucky to get 11, and I'm not going back anytime soon. 🙂

@@johnnyrambles Ya, I was involved with a company that had a fleet of them..Like my comment said, "Steer clear if your thinking long term", they are great vehicles for about 7-8 years, 100 -- 130 thousand miles, after that, not so much..My 2003 Chevy with the 6.0 has over 350,000 thousand miles, and Fords perform similarly..There are always exceptions of course..who cares if you pay more in gas, if you can own the vehicle for a decade longer, without payments, etc..Don't jump over dollars to pick up pennies...
