I had to pull my 9 ton equipment trl out from the back so i could use it this winter so i cleared a nice path from the snow. The previous year or two i didnt plow. My tractor was giving me fits pulling it through the snow. Duallies and sand or snow dont mix. For what he is hauling he should pull the inside tires off and leave them home

Doesn’t look like there is much tire to air down. Meaning what’s with everyone running these all rim and little side wall of a tire on a 4x4. I truly don’t understand the concept. I guess it’s the looks but I like a lot of tire and little wheel. Non the less Even the diesel and trailer that was stuck is a real nice set up. Looks like a fun time out there. This recovery had me scared the whole time that one of those tow balls was gonna snap off and kill the driver... This is not a hard pull.. I've pulled the same setup through softer deeper sand closer to the entrance with just my Chevy 1500.. it's all in the setup, tire psi and using the right gears... The truck pulling the trailer should've been at 15 to 20psi (lower is ideal, but with weight pushing down on the back, you want to be careful going lower than 20)... He needs to put it in 4wd low and lock it into second gear... The truck doing the pulling needs to connect to a safe point on his truck first, then he needs to use a straddle (such as a tree saver or a freedom rope cheater rope) to connect to both front recovery points, then connect 2 or even 3 kinetic ropes in series and use all that extra stretch to your advantage... The pulling truck should also be at 12psi in the front and 10psi in the back.. and also locked into 4wd low 2nd gear.. with the extra stretch of the 2 or 3 ropes, he would've popped right out... And it would've also allowed the pulling truck to reach the hard pack for better traction.

why not move the razors back on the trailer so the weight is more over the trailer axles, notice all the weight just on the rear axle. Add up half the truck weight, half the trailer weight plus all the weight of the razors because they are to far forward on the trailer. now put all that weight on the contact patch of the rear tires, of course it is going to sink in the soft sand. common sense.
