Just found your channel. As a beat up old veteran of that southeast Asian conflict I find the subject matter fascinating. Great work.

@@Chiller11 I really appreciate you leaving me a note. As you have probably discovered, I have almost 39 videos, most - but not all - on this subject of Laos and the war. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy other of my videos. Thanks for the note.

You are right to point out particularly interesting videos. I was aware of the 1918 expedition, but did not know about the POWs. What an unique topic to do a video on.

@@johnmoreno9636 John, thank you - I always appreciate your watching and comments. Yes, quite unique topic and I didn’t know about them either and when I started my research I felt it should be made a video.

How can I have missed the Constallation story🙂. Right up my alley. In the Pattaya-thread I gave a link to old films from Thailand. Bangkok floods of 1942 was one I enjoyed. There were films from Bangkok, Chang Mai, Pattaya and the Provinces (and Songkran footage from the 1950th). cheers

@@andersfant4997 Anders, I need to save that link in two places - one, put it in the film description, and two save it for my records AND probably annotate it in other films I make. You’ll hear about this - and your contribution - again. So valuable, thank you.

@@CarterOnConflict always good to connect. Hope you’re living your best life. It’s tough here under this administration. I can’t complain. My middle son runs the family business. I have a cabin (it’s a glorified shed) up in the higher elevations of Colorado. I’m spending more time there. Like so many Vietnam Veterans, we are dying off prodigiously. I’ve been trying to connect with many Vets, but I think our time is passing. So it’s extremely exciting to see authors like you keeping our duties preserved and spoken about. Ever since I left the Navy, I can’t sleep in to save my life!!! 🤣

@@tommcclelland119 Tom, upper elevations of Colorado sounds like a quality place. I’m glad you are well. I’m starting to experience more of what you’re talking about. A few months ago I emailed an old air America pilot who had helped me a lot, the return email several months later was from his son who said dad had died. I’ve increased my pace of info collection, pressuring the old timers a bit more aggressively to help me preserve history. I’m getting good cooperation. I asked one to watch an air America documentary and tell me the pilots names. He did so dutifully. In a decade, almost no one will be left that fought in Vietnam. So I’ll keep plugging.

Those are some interesting topics actually. I'm really intrigued by the Russian operation. Very little talked about. And had no idea they were POWS.
