Good story but there are the points of get the leather fence done and sweeten the food was not a suitable context... This is my interpretation of the context... According to this the trait was not for keeping dogs and cats... The literal meaning is that to fence the cow's around as it's useful in All the ways. Including it's urine and cow dung. Which will help as disinfectant and one cow dung smelling will help the lungs to function better there by extended life span. Yes, current lifestyle not everyone can have cow's at home hence it could be dogs and cats mentioned here. Next point on sweeten the food. It does mean when a person is hungry only then have food. Yes it's more respected and not wasted. But when it comes to sweeten the food it means that saliva to be generated whenever we chew the food so that the digestible enzymes are been taken from mouth to stomach which provides the maximum health benefit. As the sweet is known to be sugar / glucose this is generated as part of saliva in the mouth. Hence sweeten the food with mix of saliva and have. I appreciate the moral given, the meanings hold good. Very nice one. But the story maker has already made up his mind to make the son bounce back and reach the highest point of success and get back everything. But my question is "why didn't the son ask how am I to get the wisdom you have?" after all only that would helped him may be notto bounce back to success, but to something worthwhile. Since he hadn't got it he is in all likelihood do remain stupid and do the same thing, always interpreting and remain a fool and ignorant for the rest of his life.
