Four Years of Absolver | A Sentimental Experience

This video is full of editing errors, but here's to four years of absolver!
It's hard to put in to words just how much I love Absolver. How it's an accessible, yet deep fighting game experience. And I can't express how happy I am that I was lucky enough to "step in" to the role of The People's Champ for new and older players alike.
I've made countless friends here, made some of my best content and video edits in this game, and more importantly, I've done my part to help keep this community alive, albeit with small numbers.
If you'd like to get into absolver, maybe this video will help you understand just why I've dumped almost 2000 hours into it. It's my favorite game.

I know how you feel, I picked it up again a week ago after YEARS. I don't understand where the martial arts community is at, this game is literally the most realistic fighting game I've ever seen (really important for me as I practice karate) and It's also really fun, nice art style, rpg elements ecc.

I use to love absolver but it’s definitely fallen off , I enjoyed the 3v3 but it’s really just 1v1 that works I liked fighting 3 people and whipping them but that’s just a memory on this game now . I play for honor now and it’s enough for me but glad some people still play absolver

Never heard of this game in my life. Never seen any content for it. Never heard of the studio which put it out. Never had a clue how this ended up in my recommended. But I'm very glad it did. Dispite the sour taste the game eventually left in my mouth, it truly is a masterpiece in its own way. The streams. The community. The drama and the laughs... this is my favorite youtube video, my mans, my friend, my battle buddy, my brother in kalht, and man, I played right there with you, remember? holy shit, what a ride, and I'm coming back still; but man, after SIFU, while still playing aboslver with renewed inspiration, both for my real martial arts and taking them seriously again, as absolver did prior, and animation and art, and, finding the thrill of each fight in my very smallest stomach bones and ear blades, the zen, or the tilt is so powerfully real and every fight tells you so much about not just the player's next, but, in a way, who they are after enough time. A lot of that, and soon enough, you want to find out who's behind the mask so to speak and my steam list filled out pretty hard from absolver, and no other game has done that since or prior. It's an all timer, and if not, holy god has it been fun anyway. For skaters is skate, to martial arts is absolver, and the community is just as cool, when it's cool, like our people's champ, an ambassador we can be proud of!

I recently came back to this game after abandoning it for roughly 2 years, and I'm pretty shocked at how much more fun it is than I remember last! The only thing that really made me lose interest was just the 1v1 fights where I just constantly get wrecked due to playing the (BY FAR) weakest clan in the game, the kahlt. My absorb almost never does anything to help me win, and requires me to take heavily or entirely solely fast strikes for any beginnings for my combos, as all absorb does is negate my own stun rather than stun the opponent. So it felt really toxic to me playing 1v1's, especially when people were feint spamming and I literally had to start a new game for the tutorial in order to learn how to feint again. Without feinting I feel like the game would be a lot more skill based. You would actually get into epic situations where you do best by countering a counter with a counter, which I'd freaking LOVE. Anyways this is a really awesome video, and I hope that you keep streaming this game! Maybe I'll hop in eventually, or maybe I'll see you in a 1v1. You are an absolute chad champion.

Honestly, I'm fine (for the most part) with what they did. They're a small studio and the fact that Absolver was their first game is actually massive. It's lofty to think they'll be able to marry PVP with what they do in SIFU, honestly I'd rather they revisit absolver after they're done, but either way I'm super happy this game even exists. Great things on the horizon, for sure!

It's most active at general daytime hours. Matchmaking still works and you don't spend SUPER long waiting for a game. There are a few discords that are very active and have dedicated players who spar and run tournament stuff often! on PC the game is also on sale for 5.99. Not sure if that's gonna last, but I always tell people if they're not sure about anything to just get it on sale :)

Your english is fine! I think there's a small hope for it, but I also think that a "spiritual successor" to absolver is almost more likely than a revisit of absolver. HOWEVER, I still think it's a possibility, the devs have expressed possibly coming back to absolver in the future. The big issue was money, they supported absolver for free for 16 months. So we can hope for it, but I think it's a bit of a long shot
