2012 hilux D4D double cab, manual, 165,000km, 2 inch lift, 32" tires, steel bullbar and rocksliders, very stickly maintained and driven. Still sitting on 12.5km/L translated... 8L/100km. Could not be happier.

So apologies if a dumb Q but: is the reduction of clearance that (rarely occurs much) over time due to the valve gradually seating deeper into the seat/head therefore pushing the lifter/follower closer to the cam lobe ? Cheers for the great content!

Our old Semi Off-road 2.4 ton (fully loaded) full sized Coromal was at one stage doing 100 on the highway. If injectors were done would this load by itself cause cracked piston(s) in a 1kD? Digital EGT was ok at the time.
