Khamzat is a smaller guy who would be going up against guys cutting down from heavyweight. Alex Pereira has excellent takedown defence and is huge. Ankalaev can wrestle as can Jan Blachowicz.

That’s when he stopped moving and Ilia swarmed him Topuria can’t fight Omalley the way he fought Volk or Holloway bc he was eating jabs and fighting very reactively. If Omalley is able to get his jab going like Holloway, he’s going to control every exchange. He is way better at that outside sniper style than Holloway and Volk I think a realistic adjustment Topuria could make is to become a offensively-minded wrestler like Merab, then use that and some dirty boxing to KO Omalley in the clinch.

He’s got great movement and knows how to avoid danger. And when he does get hit, he takes it. But in this fight, he made a mistake. As for Khamzat, he didn’t even finish Usman, and he’s a welterweight, and he took the fight on 10 days notice. Not only that, Usman won the third round, and if that was a five round fight, he would have won the fight. And so, there are very rational reasons that we have made this analysis. It’s not emotional.
