It’s clubs like these that really reinforce that with lofts being a club strong almost across the board it’s time to take numbers off clubs. Just put the degrees and be done with the strong iron debate

If my wife hits a 7 125, i hit a 7 150 and you hit a 7 180. its only there so we pick the right clubs out of the bag to hit the distance we need.

I completely agree. When playing with friends it used to be “what club did you hit?” Now it doesn’t even matter because we all play different lofts.

I understand they built these so that you could mix the TB-5 and 7 together. TB-5 in the longer, TB-7 in the scoring clubs. The RM 4 wedges are superb too. I have the TB-5 5 - P/Aand the 52 and 58 RM 4. As good if not better than anything I have played over 45 plus years of golf.

i bought these for my dad and he loves them the face feels soo soft and he gained like 15 yards his shaft is ns pro 90 R

I've been using TB-7s (4-pw) bent 2deg weak with modus 130x's for about 2 months and they are just amazing. I went from properly fitted Z585's to these and I haven't noticed a drop in "forgiveness". They also feel much better through the turf. I by no means went into my fitting expecting "blades" but can't argue with the numbers. If strong lofts aren't your thing just get them weakened and enjoy them. Cant recommend tb7s enough.

Looking for a comparison on tb-7's to the new Proto Concept blades. Currently playing zx-7's which i really like. Looking for a little tighter iron control but not as a crazy hard to hit traditional blade. Looking for the next step up in iron. +2 trying to get to +3 or 4

Great review - may also want to review the Fourteen TC-7 model - a cavity back iron with minimal offset. Just picked up a set and would classify as a forgiving players CB.

I would slightly disagree, Fourteen and Miura don’t feel the same to me. Miura has a heavier more “solid” impact with a dead sound, Fourteen is a “dead” impact with a solid sound. My FH1000’s are super fun and so nice to hit.

I went from z585 to tb7s (bent 2deg weak) and they perform way better (for me) than 585s. Better through turf and better performance. It was tb7s and zx7s to pick from in my fitting.

got tb7 bent 10 degrees weaker and 5 degrees up right because I swing my iron at 140mph with ball speed of 220mph. I hit my PW 350 yds carry if I really step on one. These irons are really fantastic because I would not be able to produce these numbers with any other iron set. only fourteen can do it because they use forged steel from krypton.

I know you've probably had too many comments like this but would you guys please work out a review with Maltby on their TS-1 irons? I know Maltby is kind of stuck in the mud when it comes to these tests and public awareness type stuff. If money weren't an issue I'd buy the clubs to donate to you for testing. IMO some of the best irons out. Their TS4's to be released in 2023 will be that much better.

You need help!! There are players out there that need a 30 deg 7 iron or even lower. My current iron is set at exactly 30 deg and I spin it close to 7000 and I launch it 17-19deg. I’m actually considering taking a deg or two off. So instead of turning off, try and understand reasons why some players will need a 30 deg seven iron.

I dont get why people make a big deal about the loft. Just hit the club that produce the yardage needed.
