During the second inning of the Grasshoppers game on July 4, 2014 we helped an Air Force Senior Airman surprise her family with an unexpected home coming!

I'm from Germany .Sorry my english is not the best .I learned English in school for about 4 years. I love the homecoming video. But in reality is it just a wish dream . About 6000 us soldiers dead . Hurt or tramtiesit . There is no pay about .My grandparents are from the genration world war 2 they told me very much of this time .They know what war in their country mean. This has nothing to do with patriotism or nationalism it comes to bare survival .I was soldier in the German army .The 2 years after the attacks 2oo1 It was a difficult time for me because the usa had loved . But I 've loved an illusion . The usa I have loved only exists in hollywood film . The cruel reality in the United States: About 750,000 among mankind to live on the street - homeless men, women and children, about 40 million citizens no health insurance, usa military spending $ 640 billion compared China $ 188 billion , Germany 48.8 billion dollars . Social expenditure as% of GDP 29.5 in Germany in USA 19.7 .15 percent of people with a permanent residence relate now on food stamps . At the beginning of this year were about 2.32 million people in the US in prison , reported the independent academic institute PEW in a new study. This brings the number of prisoners in the US has tripled in the last twenty years. 100. Each Americans in jail.SUPPPPER USA Read on from here : All smoke and mirrors : US has more prisoners than the USSR under Stalin . God bless the us citizens from themselves . arms Act

pierrelorenz Thanks for your response. Those are real tears and real raw emotions; this wasn't Hollywood. Some dreams do come true. You are correct - other families (6,000+) won't have such a homecoming. While we do have to contend with home-land realities like the homeless, the under-insured and those without insurance, the increased prison population, military spending, etc., we still have grass-roots democracy, family units, millions who still embrace faith in God (despite strong opposition), and enjoy freedoms that others only dream about [those crossing our borders is an example]. Don't make the mistake that what goes on in Washington is greater and more powerful than what takes place in small ball-yards like above. Are we perfect? No, but we always strive to be better. So allow us a moment or two to enjoy our freedoms (July 4th) and celebrate homecomings like the one above. Our freedoms came at a price.

Chicago Zephyr you got me misunderstood well I love the videos and I also know these are the movies really . I also know what that means in the need to use I was one of a CRC unit we have the mates for use trained. I had not in use after afghanistan my service period was too short. As of 2003, then I was 2 times us barrack "Little America in German I was experiencing at Ramstein Air Base and Baumholder, United States Army , I was responsible for the safety of soldiers and civilian employees . It was great USA in Germany do not have the big pond need to . Could me even with the school english with the MP entertained .But the guys were all a little crazy for me t.I think the have even slept with her weapon.
