I Strapped A GoPro On A Lobster ( I Bought A Boat Ep. 5)

Monster Mike made I Strapped a GoPro to a fish and The Fish Whisper Made the Video I Strapped A GoPro to a Turtle so that got me thinking of all the fun stuff you could strap a GoPro to. My First thought was it would be fun to strap a GoPro on a grizzly bear But I thought I'd start out with something a bit smaller first. Since I have a five trap Lobster licenseI, I thought it Might be interesting if I strapped a GoPro on a lobster. So we set Out the other day with the intention the film I strapped a GoPro On a lobster. And boy did we nail it. I couldn't Have imagined in my wildest dreams The footage that come back From strapping a GoPro on a lobster.

It's amazing how much fishing changes from region to region while some things stay the same. Down here in Florida we wreck pogie pods with Sabiki rigs too. You haven't lived until you've tried to tie on a Sabiki in 6 foot swells lol it's like being attacked by a tackle box.

That was the most interesting thing to watch fowler. How cool to see that that lobster knew that's that trappy got caught on and he didn't want no part of it but he knew there was food there. You should put GoPros on more things that you catch that is really interesting and cool thanks again for another great video me and my wife love you buddy and can't wait to see more.

I spent 13 years on Mount Desert Island, at the Echo Lake Appalachian Mountain Club Camp as a "summer puke"... a "maniac's" fond (?) term for us summer visitors. (Learned that term on Tahkli Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand in '67 from a crusty old Master Seargent first name of Elwell). Anyway, Maine lobster is the best eating of all lobsters... all the rest are just "bugs". Maybe the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute will follow your lead to learn what lobsters actually do to occupy their days/nights. I envy your residency in/around Rockport... brought back many memories of Mt Desert Island and its environs as a kid (13 summers!)... I'm a "displaced " Connecticut Yankee living in Utah.... cheers! Have a lobster w/drawn butter for me, oh!, and a pint of fried clams, too, please?

Look at the minutes 11.16 to 11.20. Kind of like there's a little creature that has wings near the rocks, it walks using its feet. The creature is like a large fly. PLEASE NOTE IT WELL !!!! The creature is on the left.

Going to have to try your own mark and recapture study. See how many come back to your traps and get caught again by you? A little colored dot on top of their shell. ? Or Something like that maybe. A bio degradable string on a specific leg. I bet the DNR would help you do it even. It would be interesting. Maybe help you move your traps around to find the best areas. ? I like the underwater video the best. I wonder if there are smaller cameras that would work on them? I know of some that release and float up to the surface after a certain amount of time that you can select!

If you want to improve your bait, pack some mackerel in rock salt in an airtight bucket. Leave it sealed up until the next time you go out. It will be pretty stinky, but lobsters love the rotten decaying fish. You can even use heads left from fish you've kept for eating.
