Looks like Tacoma rear needs to slow the rebound, which the Fox DSC doesn't have external adjustment for.

So would you say the fox 2.0 ifp and springs on the power wagon would give it better on road ride and better Offroad performance than the factory setup? I want to fall in love with my truck again.. Do I really need to spend the 2k for kings or 2.5 foxes?
@ShockSurplusАй бұрын
we hear ya, the new carli carli springs and fox 2.0 is a huge positive difference over stock in the owner's (Sean) opinion, well worth it for both daily comfort and offroad performance.

Most of the DSCs for Rams are sold out on your site and can't be purchased. Is this because they are getting discontinued, or just because they are so popular? If this is what I want, how do I go about getting it?
@ShockSurplus2 ай бұрын
The Factory DSC are discontinued for the 2014+ Ram 2500, there's still some on the shelf for certain sizes, but they moved those over to the Performance Elite options, which we have in stock. How about a video of the 2.5 dsc on the power wagon! I just got my 2.5 dsc from you guys on Saturday. Rears are installed. Fronts not yet, because I'm not sure the provided mounts are going to keep the resis safe from the tires under full flex. Can you guys test them with the included front mounts for the resis that fox provides?
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
Yup! It is on the list. The SS Wagon is on 37s now and will probably end up on 40s, so if there are clearance issues, we will definitely be finding them and addressing them.

Would the 6112 bilstein give a rebel a true 3 inches of lift with the v8 etorque?
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
No they will not. Almost no struts or coilovers will provide more 3" on a Rebel.

Sean, you have the fox 2.5 elite now, what are your settings for your 2500?
@ShockSurplus2 ай бұрын
We're on the King 3.0 Carli setup, not on the Fox PE currently. But usually running full firm on LSC to address the handling, and then pretty soft on HSC for the harder hits offroad.
@nabatron212 жыл бұрын
With the eco diesel on fox website it says the rear shocks give a 0-2 inch lift. Does the shock itself give a 2 inch lift while running the stock spring on a rebel setup? The reason why I’m asking is I’m kinda of in the same situation as the eco diesel owner. I have a rebel v8 and went with falcon and it is a harsher ride. Got the lift in the front but overall the ride is to be desired.
@ShockSurplus2 жыл бұрын
Vehicles that are running shocks, they do not provide you any lift but rather accommodates those lift amounts. If you want to lift your Ram 1500 in the rear, you would need a spring.
@nabatron212 жыл бұрын
@@ShockSurplus with the new 3 inch bds fox set up I will assume it will give a true 3 inch lift in the front and the rear spring provided will give a 1.5 inch lift in the rear?

Hello guys! I know this is bit random, but what lbs springs would you recommend for FJ cruiser with no extra weight up front? Now I am running kings 2.5 adjustables with 600lbs front springs, but it feels kind of rough, do you think I am oversprung?
@ShockSurplus2 жыл бұрын
The King 2.5 with 600 lbs. springs are going to ride a bit rough because it's a performance suspension. Changing spring rates to something lower will not alleviate your comfort. The 600 lbs. rings is what we run for stock weight Toyota vehicles such as the Tacoma, 4runner and FJ Cruiser.

I have the ing coil overs on my fj and its a dream ride
@APEXAerial-51 Жыл бұрын
First of all, love the channel and content. I have learned lots by watching. I have the same truck as Kingston, 2022 year. I think the Fox 2.0 IFP would suit me fine for what I need. I hit the trail head with the mountain bike to go riding and do lots of camping 2 months of the year in provincial and state parks pulling a 8500 lbs travel trailer, (loaded). I am going to add a half bed rack to the bed to carry two 20 L roto fuel packs and some odds and ends in the bed when on the camping trips. Here is my question. With fox 2.0 coil over option for the diesel will the fox coils be sufficient? I won’t be adding any weight to the front bumper. Do I need UCA’s with this option? What rear coil would you recommend? I would add airlift 5000 for towing the trailer. Thoughts?
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
If you plan on towing and having some weight in the bed, you would probably be better off with a set of Bilsteins 6112s and 5160s or 5100s or an Eibach Stage 2 or Stage 2R kit. The Fox 2.0s are plush and comfy, but you will want something more stable under a load than they are. The Fox 2.0s do not allow for enough lift or cycle enough travel to require an aftermarket upper control arm so you are solid on those. The Bilstein and Eibach should be solid with the stock arms as long as you stay at or below 2" of lift on a Rebel or a truck with the ORP or around 2.5" on a standard 4WD. Any higher and you may start to run into issues with getting it aligned back within factory specifications.

@@ShockSurplus thanks for the response. Do you recommend new coils with the Billy’s in the rear? Also, Will the 6112s give me some levelling over the stock Rebel 4WD coils? Maybe the B12s in the back with the 5160s?

@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
If you got the Fox 2.5 with the DSC feature, you can dial in the way the suspension feels. The DSC is a low and high speed compression which you would want to soften it on normal driving conditions and tighten it up on trails.

I have 2020 ram rebel 5.7 hemi. I replaced the stock suspension because it sucked so bad but I went with falcons. I set the front suspension to the level setting but I’m still not completely level. Also even though the change from stock to the falcons was very notion a good way , I’m not totally convinced. The truck fills Sporty ? Yes. The truck fills planted? Yes. No body roll or nose dive at all but it stiff as fuck. When I’m driving in the city and there is brick roads or gravel I can fill everything like the from shock it’s not even moving it has to be a big hit to move those but small bumbs at slower speeds it’s doesn’t do the job properly. I’m thinking on the fox you guys have on the revel. But probably the 450 spring since I don have anything heavy

It depends on what kit you went with. If you used the 2.1 they might feel firm because of the smaller shock body but 3.3 would and should be much better in comfort because of the bigger body. If you do want to with another route, contact our sales team directly with everything you do on the truck or plan to and we'll help guide you.
