Thanks, I’ll be using this as a guide for my 91 Mercury cougar. Same 5.0 HO as your foxbody. Valve covers are burning oil and I have eddlebrock ones, don’t remember if they are taller than the OEM ones but we’ll see!

Yes that was from antifreeze that leaked from the lines I disconnected from the throttle body.

Thank for your video it has help me so much. I got oil leaking from my gaskets from the back inside I also have oil in my spark plug wells not a lot but the oil has covered the threads changing the valve cover gaskets will it prevent oil in the Wells?

Yes it will prevent oil in the wells. It’s likely that your gaskets are leaking badly enough that oil is leaking down the head and onto the plugs. New set of valve cover gaskets will prevent this.

The bolt you point at at 4:12, I cannot reach because none of my tools can fit in that super small gap between the valve cover and whatever that big metal piece is, I’m wondering how you were able to get it out

Are you using 1/4 inch sockets or 3/8ths?

@@themrfabio2459 I got it, just took some moving around, one hose broke and it’s the one you have to remove when you pick up the upper intake, I tried starting the car without it and it’s running horribly now

@@parkerfiske4707 yes that’s a vacuum hose and it’s routed to the charcoal canister. Very brittle hose! Just replace it and you’ll be back to normal

My valve covers won’t come off on my 1995 5.0 I took out all the 6 bolts but people tell me there’s another bolt behind the water pipe but idk which one the water is Lmao

Tap the covers with a mallet or something. They will come off. Probably just frozen on there

The one that’s probably fooling you is the one that, if your looking at the car from the front, is on the back right closest to the firewall. Its the one bolt that has a metal bracket attached to it that different from the other ones. In fact, you actually have to remove that bracket I refer to in order to expose the bolt you are looking for.

@@themrfabio2459 hey thanks for the suggestion. Just to clarify, I'm talking about the upper manifold bolts. The bolts are free, but the manifold is still held in place in the back left. I have all 6 bolts loose.
