1st annual FOX FEST presented by NTFC
We make some of the cars first runs down the 1/8th mile dragstrip in Denton at Northstar Dragway and check out some bad foxes! Firts annual Fox Fest presented by North texas Foxbody Club was a great turnout and a ton of fun. Car made it there and held together. Was a super great event and a ton of fun.

6K, but in this video my intake was collapsing, bogging the car real bad. This was open exhaust too. Had the cutouts open, it was not quiet at all lol

I had the steeda 5 link setup on my old 88 coupe with stock internals and nothing but bolt ons and ran a 8.1 @ 90mph shifting 5 speed with 3.73 gears on street tires. Its all about suspension and getting it to hook.

Hell ya, it did great!!! Ya you just want to take it slow, you did right by not pushing it all the way so early on. I was going to say, your shifts are a little laxed. When you get ready to go into third just shove that thing forward, keep your foot slightly on the gas and let it rip. With that being said, you did fine though, and like I said you did right by not pushing it to hard early on Your car sounds great, keep up the good work. Good job bud. 👍👌😎 Beer time 🍺🍺🍺✌️

Some 90/10's, 50/50's, a couple degrees negative pinion angle, some 28's and shift that thing like The Leader in Substandard Fox Body videos Mr 50Tussin and it'll be deep in the 7's.

honestly I wouldn't go 90/10s unless you are full committed to the stripe they way are too soft. A nice set of adjust shocks and struts would be ideal but they come with a heftier price

scott roe With a factory rated spring and sway bar they do just fine on the street. Even with a trick spring they still do ok, I've ran them on street driven cars since the early 90's and never have had an issue.

My mostly stock 1986 T-top aod car went 940s with just exhaust, 373 gears, upper and lower control arms, and drag radials. I'd get a set of slicks and run it again and I bet you can shave at least a full second off.

Dude my little sisters 95 bone stone 2000% stock automatic 5.0 gt ran a 9.60 with a 2.1 60ft her car had zero mods down to the stock air filter left it in drive and just stomped it. First time she has ever been at a track much less race. My 91 lx notch stock motor with pullies 3.73 gears shorties off road H pipe 5 speed runs 8.65 at 84mph no cam factory e7s factory intake with BfGoodrich Gforce comp2s and stock pony wheels. AC all steel full interior

Yeah. Absolutely agree. My tires are my fuse and weak link. Slicks or DRs with my T5 is likely a bad idea. This wont be at the track much anyway.

Definitely need tires and 31 spline axles if you try to put that power to the ground. But it's about just having fun. My stock coupe runs 9.0s so you should easily be in the 7s. I wonder how many of them notchbacks were original 5.0 cars?

Hey a little trick when your on street tires is to drop the pressure to 25psi and slip that clutch a little more off the line and if it still spins drop the tires a little more

The NTFC is for Foxbody Mustangs and Capri, 79-93. Sorry about the declines but we are pretty strict on that rule.

I'm still on the stock heads injectors and ecu speed density and I can trap 98mph to 106mph at Colorado's high altitude so I dont see how u was going slower than my car goes with boost?? Makes no sence ? Your car is slower than stock. U need to find some Ford guys to help u out or something????

Haha, no, man...this car was tuned just days before. And im telling you the car is much faster than prior to boost, its spinning like crazy and Im grandma shifting. Im around nothing but ford guys running plenty fast foxes.

A bit more aggressive on the shifting will definitely drop those numbers, if you can get away with just two shift points numbers just keep on dropping, your at the cutoff just seconds after going into fourth. I could tell you were having a ball. Cheers !
