Bcgrote--the reason the beagles look different from the breeds of today is that they are not beagles; they are English Foxhounds. The foxes are nowhere near extinction and are real problems to farmers, who invariably lose lambs, chickens, and other livestock to the vulpine predator at considerable monetary loss. Such bad seats those riders had going over jumps!! It's a testament to the horses that they could clear the jumps at all. Caprilli's forward seat must not have made it to England from Italy at that point. Some terrible riding on display, bumping down in the saddle whilst yanking on the horse's mouth, no doubt a lot of people weren't regulars. Things have improved since then. Have to say I really like the English hunt seat.
@Oakleaf7002 жыл бұрын
They would have been regular..Beaufort is/was an expensive hunt to follow, and these people would have hunted regularly, but the forward seat is far, far better for a horse as it follows the movement far better than the oldskool style .

Perhaps it's jealousy. Do they condem all sports? The deer hunters, & rabbits, badger. Do they attack puppy mills. Or dog/bull/ cock fighting? Or jail pet owners abusing their pets. Or condem slaughter houses. These are horror chambers. Fact: so called sports people shooting an animal, only injuring it. To crawl off to die a slow painful death At least within seconds a fox is dead. Not slowly bleeding to death in pain. Ok let's outlaw all hunting. Then turn to humans killing each other. Where bleeding hearts side with the killer. Screw the victim.
@thenorthernplayer55892 ай бұрын
Exactly. What a surprise that fishing is still legal... I find the idea of yanking an animal out of the water, injuring it, then putting it back revolting. But fox hunting was outlawed... I think your right in people being jealous.

Whether you agree with (Fox hunting) or disagree, the truth of the matter is, Foxes wouldn't have been so numerous if it wasn't for hunting.The land has been shaped and designed with coverts planted for foxes and has benefited much of the countryside also. The Duke of Beaufort did more for hunting than any of the animal-rights organisations of animal -rights nutters have ever done. In fact the antis created a wonderful own goal due to everyman's hand againts foxes nowadays and especially using certain indiscriminate methods of control, i.e. Shooting, snaring, trapping and even the vileness of poisons. The true vandals of the countryside are the antis themselves.How wonderful they must feel!
