The cats want nothing to do with the fennecs but you can tell by the fennecs' 1000WPS (Wags Per Second) tails that they want everything to do with the cats. It's like having a crush on someone who'd rather watch you die.

That is so cute. Even though the cats were annoyed, they still seemed pretty gentle with them. They didn't try to bite them, and there swats didn't look too hard, kinda like a warning.

Well that is how the teach their kittens not to do things. Like being too rough. Or trying to steal food from my plate. Oh wait the last one was me. It was funny. I called it whack a cat like the whack a mole game. Everytime a little head tried to pop over my plate I would 'whack' it. Which really means I tapped their head with my index finger. Their mama was rougher with them than me. But for them to understand you need to speak their language. Actually their mama was a little nuts. She'd groom then while growling at them. She'd also invite people to pet her then decide no more and nip them. Except me. But I seem to easily & instinctively pick up cat language because I'd suddenly stop the petting. I think it's because my sister's cat Snowball helped raise me. Or at least was always in my playpen, highchair etc.

Some individual animals can tell when other animals are still young and learning, for instance all those videos of cats rearing orphaned puppies and vice versa. These cats were swatting as a training deterrent, and by the end of the video, the kits don’t mess with them as much and the cats don’t swat as much, showing that the kits are learning and the cats are content with them. great video!

Croc Dundee411 All land mammals can tell whether or not any other species of land mammal is an adult or a baby. I have no idea why, it could be related to size. We used to have this extremely aggressive dog that would go after humans and dogs of any size, for absolutely no reason (you could walk past her and she’d go after you). We got two puppies and wondered how she would react.. when I tell you that dog never even growled while the two idiots jumped on her and nipped at her.. it was amazing. When they got a little bit older she would snap at them sometimes (never bite), but she never went after them like she did to everyone else.

This was a very cute video. The kitty was very tolerant which showed in how she batted at them with her paw. Had she wanted to, she would be using claws. I remember about three years ago when I went to VA for the Christmas holiday, a friend who had two small dogs was going to take care of my cat. He had a thing that he used to make a space for my kitty with lots of room. After we got Boots settled in, we going over to sit for a moment when one of them went back to where Boots was, he told him don't go back there you will get scratched. About 5 seconds later you heard a loud yelp and the dog came flying into the main part of the living room. I tried to apologize, but he said no no, she has to learn. When I got back, he said that when he let Boots out (he loved to lay on the window ledge and look out the window) that that dog would stay as far to the other side of the room as he could. The foxes' tail were wagging a mile a minute indicating they were playing. The one thing that really fascinates me is how big their ears are compared to the rest of them. @@jamespurks1694 Mine do that too. There's just something about the heat from a living cat that is just usually better than a heating pad. Although apparently my Harlequin got cold one day because she kept trying to steal my heating pad. While I was using it. I've also caught her cuddling my new radiant heater. I love that thing. It keeps my entire apartment at a toasty 76/77F. With no dips in temperature to make me hurt more. I still use the big heat to change temps fast. You might get interested to know that the decibals of a cats purr are just right to promote healing. Cars can literally heal with their purrs.

I love how the cats just tap them on the snoot without claws. A firm tap will ping the tip of a claw just hard enough to let the fox know there's something hiding in there. It's so funny. The foxes already know there's a claw in there but cats are still so gentle.

I love how at 1:44, it seems the kits know to keep their distance from the cat. they're still overwhelmed with excitement and curiosity, but their constant flinching and lack of physical contact show that they're being very cautious. the cats seemed very calm though. not much aggressive body language, just annoyance. the swats and hisses seemed to be more "go away, leave me alone" than actual threats. a very interesting dynamic between these two animals indeed.
