Great news! You might remember that I rebuilt a fox den and set up cameras in the hope that a fox family would move in. Well they have and here are the first moments captured by my cameras this morning.

I rebuilt an artificial fox den in a garden in York earlier this year and rigged it with cameras. Then I waited to see if a fox family would move in.
Here are my first glimpses of the vixen and her cub inside the den - can't wait to see more.

I've never understood how someone could willfully do harm to such a beautiful little animal, I think they should be protected and treasured...just so beautiful...

The country estates release game to shoot, then the fox may eat them. The rich people then made a sport out of hunting them. It's extremely distressing. The hounds that are breed for this blood sport are just kept in big sheds and are not pets. The whole thing is very wrong and should have stopped at least a hundred years ago.

when my closed and locked bin (i am firmly in the congested suburbs) is upended and stuff is everywhere, or when I turn around after setting the bin down and there is a mangy representative of the species right behind my ankle, i do think about it tho this is probably a result of the idiot human up my street actually feeding them

Thank you Robert for sharing these wonderful quiet moments of the vixen mom with her adorable cub. He can't wake his mom up no matter how he prods her, so he takes off on his own and goes to the entrance of the den. On his return, momma wakes up and is grooming the little one again. So undramatic and so precious, these. quiet moments.

This is why dead and fallen trees are so important. I've seen a lot of videos with young people pushing down standing deadwood. It takes years for these to develop and, while they're still strong and standing, they're essential for certain animals like owls, raccoons and others. Also the big stumps and hollow logs like this one. Many people just crunch them up and haul them away without realizing the treasure it is, that is possibly a hundred years in the making. Thanks for letting it stay. ❤

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 thanks for sharing this video we have foxes in my area and most of my neighbors get violent and throw objects on them unfortunately the local animal shelter has been in my area to chat with the neighbors about that kind of behavior and results in a warning or fine

These videos show love is universal. Hunting is acceptable IF one honors the animal, its life, and its soul. Prospective hunters should have to watch your (and others') wildlife videos to see family means everything to even the animals.

This is a lovely video and really pulls at the ❤️ strings. As beautiful as foxes are, there is no doubt that they are ruthless predators. I recall my brother telling how one morning he was getting ready for work and while looking out his kitchen window and into the garden he had the ignominy of seeing bits of his daughters rabbit all over the garden. There was another one that was only barely alive. Result of a 🦊 attack. I won't mention how my niece took it.

Luv ❤to 👀 this !! Saw a skinny mammy fox yesterday at my bit - out during day 😮 In public, it was quiet outside, but still......😮 Never saw that before, I'm built up area with surrounding forestry. Went down last night with a feast for them: milk in a tub, prawn crackers, few bits of chicken, half a tub of super noodles 🍜 2 kiwis 🥝 😋 chopped up in bits. It's the only extra food i had for them. They ate it all, as it was all gone this morning.... I knew the mammy was starving if out during the day. Ps, can i leave eggs 🥚 for them ?? Like uncooked ? Just eggs in their shell still, uncracked?? Not out of date ones, obviously. But I throw out if best before is 1 week over max. Sometimes i waste 2 or 3 out of a 6 pack...... In addition, is the food i stated above okay for them to have?? Some mixture lol, I leave water for them sometimes, too. One of the cubs stood in the milk tub last week and got a fright and ran away 😆 🤣 wee shame coz it split everywhere and nobody could have any. They dont seem to like salad stuff like cucumber or lettuce?? Or carrots 🥕

No, not in the UK. Not only is fox hunting outlawed, King Charles is a huge environmentalist, who would take big issues with this brutality. Unfortunately there are never the less assholes who still practices it illegal though.
