I love the Bloomberg opinion article, it's too bad they can't make it publically available to all, without cost (or subscription or membership), as it states pretty much how I feel about the Biden term in office. I personally (layman here), would place Biden in the top ten of all presidents. I am not a Dem, or a sycophant. What I am is a middle of the road progressive. And I evaluate all things not personal, in as subjective a manner as I can. I've always voted for whom I thought would do the best job, regardless of Party affiliation. That changed in the aftermath of 2016. Now, because of the chaos and mayhem brought to the American political table by Trump, the lax and greedy Republicans in Congress, and the sycophants turned cult members in the voter ranks. Now, I vote straight Blue, and research those voted into office without Party affiliation, by those that endorsed them (labor, Dems, charity, etc.). For all the work done by Biden (especially in his first two years), he has my gratitude. He could set a definition of a "patriot" 9unrelated to military service). Do I agree with everything he did? No. But the choices that I felt, should have been different? They were highly over-shadowed by the great decisions he *did* make. Most of them were captured in the results of the Bloomberg opinion/report in their results. As for Trump? His moral and ethical turpitude, disgusted me, long before he eyed a place in politics. At least Hitler did not try to hide what he was. Trump... And his clown posse, has dragged America down to a level, I would have never thought possible. Life is full of surprises. As disgusted, and demoralized as I am presently, I am heartened with the work Biden has been doing in his closing days, and in the Democratic Party, for their willingness to take the MAGA to the mat (wrestling term). As close as the number of seats are in Congress, the amount of infighting on the Right, the number of actual fiscal Republicans still left with a concept of fiscal responsibility, I am feeling that not all is lost. We can drag Trump's (or his master's more accurately) Project 2025 agenda items into the light, as they act to implement those items. I believe the costs alone, with the other factors mentioned above, will be enough to resist too many huge changes. I believe the plan for "massive deportations", will fail, mostly under the weight of inactivity (locked in battle) from Congress, and the number of civil rights cases that will have to progress their way through the judicial system, clogging the courts, and adding delay upon delay. By the time they get close to enacting any of the more disruptive, huge changes in government, it will be 2026. I predict, enough Congressional seats in both halves of Congress will be turned Blue, that the Dems will own majority in Congress. Jefferies will become Speaker, and Trump will be thwarted from all future action by Congress. In fact, I'd be surprised if Trump doesn't end up Impeached and convicted by the end of his *last* term. I don't know who will be President in 2028, but I predict it will be a popular *Democratic* Presidential elect nominee, after a robust Primary of candidates.
